Since Bungie will never do anything about the matchmaking in this game, the very least they could do is allow the users to see players currently in the queue during comp matchmaking so solo players have a choice whether or not they feel like getting their face kicked in.
Oh and maybe take a look at the crucible fireteam channel and get rid of the shills offering guns for cash. Or maybe give us a filter to block them since report doesn't accomplish anything.

Or, the could hide the 8/8 counter in the corner so 4 stacks stop dodging other 4 stacks...
-
Originally, you could see the queue and they actually took it out before release. Although your reasoning is fair, you’d actually get 4 stacks purposely avoiding 4 stacks and matchmaking would just become a perpetual mess of teams looking to avoid teams and solos looking to avoid teams and everyone spending forever in matchmaking rather than playing. I’m not saying Bungie shouldn’t change things but comp is designed for teams and your best chance is to LFG.

If you pay attention to the "evaluating guardians" number at the bottom right when queuing up, you can easily avoid going against stacks. If you see the number slowly go up from one to 12 in small increments, chances are you're going up against mostly solo players with maybe 2 stacks. If you see the number go up by 3, 5 at a time, chances are, you're going against some stacks. If you see this, back out of the queue.

It was implemented on purpose to prevent people opting out without a penalty. If they REALLY wanted to fix it they'd stop taking away glory for losses. That little bright idea of theirs is why Competive has created such an overabundance of paid recoveries, which in turn makes it tougher for honest gamers who play for fun. Creating a sewer where the turds of the gaming community can game the system for cash isn't what Bungie should be doing . They removed Trials for exactly this reason and then created the same thing with Competive, but worst... because pinnacle Competitive weapons are actually the best in the game.

No. Keep that sh*t hidden. I solo que. I don't care about the other team. 9 times out of 10 they are sweaty tryhards running the meta as hard AF anyway. And 5 times out of 10 my team beats their meta-loving arses. Allowing people to run from games just increases the wait time between matches. This is a game. Stop viewing it as though you need to win every single fight you take on. Getting stomped offers up lessons you can take away and learn from. Don't deprive yourself from an experience because you are fearful of the outcome.

No. People backing out of matchmaking can leave other people in 3v4 games. Stacks aren't even that good a lot of the time, you know they're actually matched against people with higher glory to compensate? I have literally no problem playing 4 stacks, just stick it out.
-
No, that will only encourage cowards to drop out against 4 stacks at the last second and leave their would-be teammates holding the bag. The thing that many players don’t understand is that if you encounter a team of 4 under 2100 glory, it means they’re playing up a SBMM bracket because they’re in a full team. I’ve stomped a LOT of 4 stacks under 2100, probably just as many as I’ve been stomped by. They’re nothing to be afraid of.
-
Name one competitive game that lets you view other players stats before the game starts, and without giving you quitter penalties. You shouldn’t be able to even see the cue player list, people wouldn’t back out so often and lead to 3v4’s.
the very least they could do is allow the users to see players currently in the queue during comp matchmaking so solo players have a choice whether or not they feel like getting their face kicked in.
Which is exactly WHY the aren't doing it. Because your quitting out ruins the matchmaking experience for everyone around you.

I agree with the second part about the $$$ spammers. But no, absolutely not to the first statement. People need to stop quitting and taking up queue time. I understand why people do it but still. Also, you can tell if you’re going up against a 4x or 3x stack simply by paying attention to the matching progress. If it drastically goes from 1/8 to 8/8 that’s a sign to gtfo of that match before it starts. If you don’t, oh well.

puppyk1ssesにより編集済み: 5/27/2019 1:20:22 PM4-stacks in comp are usually an easier match if you’re asolo player. The game penalizes 4-stacks by putting them against higher rank opponents. Meaning, if you’re a solo team of randoms against a 4-stack, you might be better than them :) I solo queued LH and Recluse and a great deal of my wins were against 4-stacks. It’s usually one very good person, 0-1 decent ppl, and 2-3 garbage people.

xRand0mにより編集済み: 5/28/2019 8:38:10 AMBungie is totally obsessed with catering to group players. That is why the stacks have all the tools to avoid other stacks for easy time, while solos must suffer. In Bungie's logic - group up to have a goid time, solos are not worth considering. Like, solo queue is really easy to implement, but won't cater to groups, hence it does not exist.

I thought you could see everyone from the Roster screen. Did they remove it? You can't exactly see who's in a stack but you can see all the folks in the same clan.
-
They hid it to help players like you, OP. Before 4 stacks would insta leave when up against another 4 stack and would stay in matchmaking with solo players like you XD
