All the nerfs announced in the TWAB are BS, upvote to stop this (posted on behalf of hawk10586 in order to bring the post back to relevancy)
No reason for anything to get nerfed, whisper was already in a better place with the ammo nerf, LoW was strong but it didn't need a nerf, everything else is also dumb.
Don't even get me started on the armor nerfs, they are not needed and hurt already bad exotics.
Upvote for this to be stopped

1 返信IMO whisper got a buff. It got more reserve ammo, and in most encounters you wouldn’t even use 18 shots.

2 通の返信Why dont they just make other exotics a little better? Most exotics in this game can only be used when paired with a particular weapon or ability. Sometimes I roll wavesplitter with nezarecs sin for instance. I barely notice that I'm wearing an exotic at all, but it cuts the CD on my super by 10-15 seconds with but no added power at all. Why not make it so my vortex grenades and Nova bombs have a slight vacuum or slowing effect as well? 90% of our armor exotics feel fairly pointless outside of absolutely niche builds.

1 返信What we need to do is simply acknowledge that any new exotic we purcgase, unlock, or grind for is headed for one of three fates: 1. Mediocrity. It will be adequate or situational at best, junk at worst. 2. Overshadowing. For example, DARCI was a good sniper... but then came Whisper, and no one bothered with it. 3. Expiration. If a weapon is good, commonly used, and useful in lots of situations, Bungie will eventually nerf it.

14 通の返信So you design an entire timed dungeon around a weapon, then make the catalyst require multiple runs of a heroic version of that dungeon. You also design that weapon specifically around its ability to generate ammo on hits, meaning that the infinite ammo perk is [b][i]THE SOLE PURPOSE OF THE WEAPON[/i][/b]. And then come to the conclusion that it shouldn't have this perk, effectively rendering the weapon, the hunt for the weapon, the catalyst grind AND the entire dungeon for said weapon completely irrelevant. Good job you actual idiots.. In the interest of making upcoming content more "challenging" you have made previous content redundant. I think it's about time bungle realise that they are the laughing stock of both their player base [b][i]and[/i][/b] the gaming community as a whole. Sort yourselves out , this is ridiculous.

2 通の返信The entire reason I chase powerful weapons and armor is because they are powerful. I didn't go through the whisper mission countless times to end up using a legendary sniper, I went through the mission countless times because I wanted to use whisper, white nail and all. Bungie is basically giving players who grinded their ass off for these things a slap in the face. Bungie, I hate that I spent so much time in whisper, EP, grinding spider bounties, and other activities to get all these cool weapons only to have them not be what I chased in the end. You want to make things challenging? Add a hard mode, add world tiers like the division, do something else, fix your design philosophy. You have such cool weapons in the universe and so much potential, but we can't have any of these cool or fun things because you're for some reason so obsessed with making the experience feel bland. The game is turning into another generic boring fps, and I'm done wasting my time chasing things that are just going to be trash later on. I'm not going to put in the effort if my time and effort isn't going to be respected. I opted out of this season entirely, and I'll probably do the same with opulence, annual pass feels like such a waste. The game has gotten too meta for it's own good, to the point where all the weapons are just going to suck but have cool animations. Give me icebreaker, give me gally, give me raze lighter, give me mythoclast, give me all the cool badass guns, make me powerful, make me become legend, make the game fun.

I’d be really happy if they just put special ammo back the way it was in D1 crucible/add trials. Then I’d happily waste my life away in PvE/PvP again [i]while[/i] having fun. [spoiler]Borderlands 3 and MHW: Iceborne comes too slow.[/spoiler]
