The spiky symbol for Crown of Sorrows is more representative of a Sun rather than the Awoken spiky symbol.
The Penumbra symbol is representative of the Void. So Solar, and it's opposing force Void. Light and Dark, Sun and Moon etc.
There's also the diamond in the middle the represents Siva. 😏
I could see that being the sun, though I don’t see an immediate connection to the Leviathan there.
I know that the Penumbra symbol is the void, I was comparing it to the concept art.
Why should two related things, coming in the same content drop under the same theme be represented by different elements? That makes no sense. The void is featured because Calus as encountered it and it’s probably going to play a role in Penumbra. I don’t see what that would have to do with the moon though. And if Calus is represented by Void, why should Crown of Sorrow be represented by Solar light? And don’t forget: The main feature of the symbol is still the cup we already know and that is deeply connected to Calus, not the “sun”.
And just because there’s a diamond shape does it have to be connected to SIVA. Rasputin is also connected to diamond shapes. And why not put the actual SIVA symbol in the middle to represent it? Moreover, what is the connection between the Void and SIVA? There is none.
In the Cabal legend, a hero seeks to possess the sun. He succeeds. Then, he becomes Emperor.
I was merely explaining the opposing forces, the bright golden side of a coin and the shadowy dark side of it.
Combine Darkness & Siva. Imagine a being enhanced by Siva being Taken.
