It’s a great gem but rare because it can barely compete if I could list possible changes to improve it I’d love them to be taken into consideration.
1. Increase the precision and body damage of 340 Rpm pulses. To guarantee a kill on 2 burst no matter the resilience and a 5 shot 1 body anyone 6 or below. (There was an edit here as I changed it from 4 crit 2 body after a reasonable suggestion)
2. Allow desparado to proc immediately upon killing an enemy. However allow it to still require a precision kill.
3.Replace outlaw with feeding frenzy Or give it a faster base reload and Zen Moment.
4. Increase range of all 340 rpm pulses. They should reach out equal to Aggressive frame.
5. Replace the sights. They are far to clunky. Make them a bit smaller.
6. Increase the overall magazine. (This ties into #2)
7. Increase the base handling.
(Edit: I’d like the weapon to feel as if sprint grip is on it if that isn’t too much. The reason I say this is because once desparado activates it feels off having such a high rate of fire with such a sluggish weapon)
Edit: Thank you all for your comments and support. I am glad I can see different viewpoints from other perspectives. I would also like to clarify that these changes are from a console perspective. This isn’t to say that PC opinion isn’t viable, but that PC and Console are so fundamentally different that there is no fair comparison b/w the two.

As an owner of the claymore, I think that it should be made an exotic and automatically given to those who got it and for those who only have the broadsword they should have to do a quest for it. The exotic version would have much better range, stability and recoil and some kind of buff to desperado like a damage + fire rate buff. In the end everyone would still keep their og CLAYMORE but they could also choose to use the much better exotic version.

My suggestion would be to replace Outlaw with Zen Moment and then combine both Outlaw and Desperado. Or Just move it to the 390 class and be done with it.

BraddyBoにより編集済み: 4/28/2019 8:17:54 AMRedrix just needs 100 recoil direction, everything else is fine. High impacts need a buff, ~20 more range/stability and +10-15 handling/reload.

You know, I’d love to have all these changes to Redrix but... I feel like, these slight changes will outrage a lot of people. So, I think one or two would be nice, but not seven.

Just give me 3 and I'm happy. I was able to roll a arrow head break/ hammer forged with extended mag and ricochet rounds with range MW. I then threw a backup mag on it so now in PvE I get 45 Rounds to dump into stuff and in PvP I can go great range with 36 and have a blast. 3. Would be amazing. FF would drastically change the gun and bring out the potential it could be. It should deffinitly 2 burst though because in the current pvp form nothing can compete with HCs right now other than noob tools like shotguns and snipers / heavys. and that's what sucks

Desperado needs to Proc on kill, any type of kill Crit or Not, RPM also holds Redrix's Neutral Game back, this pulse belongs with the Adaptive frames at 390 or 450 with the heavy hitters like Blast Furnace & Go Figure what's the point of Having such a good Perk like Desperado if you never get the chance to win a duel cause almost every weapon in the game fires faster than yours
-
I've said it since day one. It should be feeding frenzy instead of outlaw. Outlaw seems buggy and inconsistent honestly. And people that say it would make it op just dont want competition against their blast furnace.
-
Yes i grinded my ass off for this gun but it needs some LOVE. Even if they just made the sights smaller and do something about the recoil when desparado is active
-
-
Only thing I agree with a different sight. I believe Redrix otherwise is fine how it is. You have to get a proper kill to use the main perks, which is fair
-
-
Unnecessary. You want the whole community to force Bungie to nerf redrix as well?
-
just change it to a 340 with regular 340 damage and keep desperado as it is.....fixed
-
My poor delusional friend. Bungie is not into improving these types of weapons. If you said NERF these weapons the Bungie would be all ears. Good luck and I do mean it.

The damage the 340s do is fine but I dot think increasing crit damage by 1-2 would be too bad. I still worry that even a small change like this could make them meta because they aren't really...that hard to use depending on which 340 you pick up. The eyestein is a really good 340 pulse. Got mine with range finder and it maps people easily.

This plays as a recipe to make an overpowered and broken weapon. Well done, Well done.
