No classes behave the way you would think they would. It would ruin the game if they did. If a Titan could truly tank shots people would main Titan. If a Hunter could dodge and evade endlessly everyone would main Hunter (like they do now 😘) and if Warlocks could sling as much energy as they should well ya get the idea. They have to adhere to class descriptions without causing an imbalance.
Think about if all three classes had what you just described, not just one class having a lot of power. Besides, it’s not like those advantages wouldn’t come without disadvantages. Hunters would be really fast and agile like ninjas, but at the cost of being really weak. Titans would be really tanky and really strong, but with very little mobility. And Warlocks...honestly everytime I think about this, I get stuck on the Warlocks, because hunters and titans are basically polar opposites, but Warlocks are more of a wild card, and while I know they’re inspired by RPG mage classes, I’m not entirely sure what downsides mages usually have to balance out their high magic power.
Warlocks would have low resilience, hunter have low recovery. You know how it was originally supposed to be. That or (and I personally like this better) give warlocks low recovery and hunters low resilience. In the beginning the stats were so unbalanced, that now those stats mean very little. I agree with what you’re saying though, as a hunger main, I should be move much faster than either of the other classes, at the expense of my damage tolerance or regen rate
Wish I could also affect my ability recharge time in the way I could in D1
I feel like warlocks would be good kinda like a Storm is from Anthem (just go with me here) like a Storm aite back and casts elemnt damage. I feel like a lock would kinda sit mid range and throw energy like a mother -blam!-er. Idk that’s what I think.
