It'd probably help if there was more in-game walkthroughs on basic game mechanics. One thing Destiny 2 is horrifically bad at is giving anyone a sense of where to go and what to do. I can't get mad at people who still don't make public events heroic; there is absolutely no indicator in the game that so much as hints at how to do it. The same goes for nearly everything in the game. Shoot, if I didn't have friends who had played it prior and told me about so many things, I never would've known half the things I do about the game. It reeks of corner cutting when a game's solution to understand things is to leave the game and go read some soyboy's novel-long narcissistic blogpost explaining something that could be summarized in three or less sentences.
