Season of Gambit is only about invading
You’ve allowed Gambit matches to get decided by who invades more. It’s negated all other aspects of the Gambit. No matter what a team does, if someone on the other team has no life and has better gear/light levels...they can wipe entire teams and win an entire match!!!!!!
C’mon, please don’t tell me youre that dumb and think that’s ok, Bungie!?! My 5 year old son realizes there is something wrong with this. One person invading over and over shouldn’t decide a match.

10 通の返信Do people still not understand its 4v1 whenever someone invades? Just gang up on the invader, we have a sentry class for a reason people. Also as for the whole 'invading is negating all other aspects of Gambit' is just nonsense invading is a very important role but you know whats equally as important sentry. The faster that invader is dead and gone the better. I've manged to come back come having no motes and the enemy team having there prime out because i was invading non-stop, that wasn't the sole reason we won though. I had a great team backing me getting motes into the bank quickly. invading is an important role of Gambit but its not the only important role like people love to believe.

In gambit prime the amount of hp restored from invasion kills needs to be reduced dramatically. The entire point of prime is faster more intense matches right? The steady stream of invaders and the amount of hp they can restore makes the matches drag on for way too long.

1 返信They shouldn't be invading every 30 secs. If they kill team wipe then that's 10 secs or so before respawn then it takes about 5 secs to get to the envoys. Then another 10 to 15 secs to kill it and only 5 secs to get ready for DP. Then you have thr invading again and it can go in a loop. Increase the invader time window to 40 to 45 secs. Or or or get rid of the damn walk hacks. Have it pulse once when you get in then once every 10 secs and for a fix range. Gambit is about killing a primeval not about who can invade the most

7 通の返信does invisibility for example from spectral blades work in gambit? or are you still visible with nametag and all or in glowing red colors when someone invades you or vice versa?

If you were to upgrade it, it gives you many benefits that help you fight off invaders. Since, you’re losing the arms race when it comes to invaders rocking full notorious gear, I would try going into reckoning tier 3 to get the set made to counter invaders

1 返信It baffles me as to how people dont grasp that having a dedicated player prioritizing the invader is something they should probably do if they want to win. I do it all the time, in solo mind you so theres no communication.

3 通の返信I never invade, it's just not my thing. However I often kill invaders and if I can do it so can the other 3 on my team. Also, wait for the invade just before killing the 3rd envoy and you have an invade free DPS period. Invades definitely help but there's much more to winning.

4 通の返信Lots more to Gambit than invading. And if the whole team is getting wiped every time an invasion occurs, then your team sucks. When you hear an invader, split up; hunt the guy. Kill the invader before killing the envoys. Avoid picking up motes unless you are pup usefully baiting the invader to attempt to kill him. Lots of different strategies- but if you all sit in the well at the same time an invader shows up, then- [spoiler]Well, we’ll, well[/spoiler] 🤷♂️

3 通の返信Here is a shocking solution, shoot the invader. That is part of the sentury's job. Personally I love to invade, but when I'm not invading I dedicate most of my time to clearing the bank and killing invaders. Gambit is a pve/pvp game mode. Both aspects are important and if the other team does the pvp aspect better than yours then you will have a harder time winning.

3 通の返信Wrong Learn how to play Time invading to be when the opposing team are on their prime damage phase Actively look for and shoot the invader, dont rely on one person to do this. A simple approach will result in a win or comeback from a major deficit. Dont use supers until phase 2 or 3 at least, where you have the damage buff. As simple approach where you can win when the opposing team has their prime and your team still needs 50 plus motes

However it should also show how important it is to have a good sentry. Prime is about knowing your role and contributing. It’s not normal gambit anymore. The best 4 stacks I have seen have someone playing every role. People keep sleeping on the collector role too. It makes no sense to me too because you know you have all seen how greedy people can get with motes. If you see a guy with 14 motes...and you have 3 or 4...let the guy with 14 grab it..a Knight is much more of a headache than your goblin. 20 mote blocker is pretty freaking sweet. Reaper and collector need to be buddies as well as the invader and sentry. I have both the sentry set and full invader set. If I jump in a team solo and see that there is already an invader and no sentry I will rock the sentry and vice versa. Some of the best sentry players I have seen have been really solid invaders. To be a good sentry you have to think like an invader. Also remember that in prime, light level does matter when it comes to pvp. Also if you have a guy with a full collector set, you need to be helping that guy get motes first. When there is an invader...everyone on your team needs to immediately protect the most motes and be sentry too. I have seen way too many people high tail it out of there with only 5 motes maybe even less while they leave their teammate with 10 plus out on his own. The team would much rather lose 5 motes than 10 or 15 plus. If anything do damage and take the death. If the team collectively does damage the invader won’t stand a chance. I run a full notorious invader set and I prey on teams who scatter and try to save themselves. The teams that give me the hardest time stick together or try to cross fire me. Know your role but be flexible. Lol idk where I’m going with this but that’s just my 2 cents on prime. Love the game mode. Involves way more strategy now.

I had a match earlier and no lie two of our team helped us till the first invasion was ready and they set by the portal grabbed heavy every time and would race to the invasion.. didn't kill 1 add after that not a blocker .. didn't put in any motes and no primeval damage .. so it was basically me and another player doing everything .. I stopped midgame to check their loadout out of curiosity 1 had not forgotten and a sniper and the other recluse and a sniper .. so I'm assuming pvp players over pve .. This gamemode is pvp in disguise now
