I would like to see that the introductory quest for gambit to be removed and the decision if a player chooses to entertain that decision then it’s their choice and if someone like myself that that is not interested in gambit doesn’t have to put up with seeing a waypoint marker every time they go through the directory which could be added to the above post

Would be nice. Gambit's only really good for a few specific weapons in my eyes, and is honestly the worst part of the game aside from the entirety of the Red War campaign. Unfortunately, neither the suggestion I'm making, nor the one you're making will be taken into consideration most likely. :(
