Actually not. Baseball is basically throw ball. Hit ball. Catch ball. As Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda famously said. But within those mechanics lay an almost infinite variety of play options and play experiences. Which is why I was able to play the game for 20 years and never get bored. While what Bungie is doing with the Forges isn't as deep as the game of baseball...it has many of the same attributes and capacity for variety once you make changes to the arena. Changes to enemy present....and changes to the spawning rate and locations of the batteries. In fact more potential for variety than the more typical content that Bungie designs. Given some of their design habits of late. All of which Bungie tweaks in their presentation of the Forges.

Not fishing. You're just doing what you always do. Assuming that everyone sees things---or should see things---the way you do. Somethings that are simple in design, offer a potential depth for what they lack in breadth. Chess is another very simple game....but has an almost endless capacity for depth and variety of experience. The Forges are a fresh take on the game's basic mechanics that offer a very interesting way of engaging the game, if you're willing to lean INTO it. Rather than stand off and throw rocks at it.

Still don't get it. Facts have nothing to do with this conversation. You are offering an OPINION...and are demanding that the rest of us accept it as fact. Sorry. Doesn't work that way. . Former Pres. George HW Bush famously hated the tast of broccoli. I love it.....always have. His subjective experience of disliking the taste doesn't supercede my experience of enjoying its taste. Your experience of always seeing this game in the worst possible light, doesn't trump mine of seeing it in a more balanced way. You see the Forges as a superficial, repetitive experience. I don't...and I don't engage in as one. These are both OPINIONS about SUBJECTIVE experiences.
