Mara Sov and Sjur Eido...
I’m listening to take me home country roads so that’s probably lessening my brain function but weren’t Mara and Sjur in a relationship? Or am I making that up? Cuz that would be awkward if shaxx went to talk to Mara and... you know what I’ll just shut up and get off the forums. Y’all have a good one
Edit: Holy crap this was a one off post but it grew exponentially! So most people seem to agree they (Mara and Sjur) had a relationship from what I’ve seen here

8 通の返信I mean, yes. But, it started with violence (I think) as they fought in opposing factions during an awoken civil war. Than eventually yes, they did [i]stuff[/i], but it was hard (gigity) on Mara as Sjur seemed to start praising Mara as a goddess, something that Mara couldn’t bring herself to respect. This is because Mara doesn’t like people doing what she says without question or curiosity, she likes people like Shaxx who have a “you can’t tell me what to do” aura about them. She likes this as those kinds of people will both question what she says and only follow the orders they think are ok.

11 通の返信I find it interesting how Mara is believed to be lesbian. Her character differently suits that, but is there any evidence of her actually being lesbian? Frankly, it seems that she would rather be with someone in power, like if the tower had a monarch, as that would benefit her people.

7 通の返信I don’t think anywhere in Marasenna they imply the two were together (they are actually mortal enemies for a good chunk of the book).

2 通の返信Yes, but they grew apart as time progressed. Then Sjur ‘died’. Besides, the thing with Shaxx happened much later, the evening before the Battle of Saturn

2 通の返信They were, but Mara said she couldn't love her if she became Queen and Sjur egged her on into it anyway because of the opportunity. Then Mara told Sjur how she basically set herself up for this from the beginning and Sjur's like damn your evil while being okay with it sorta, then Sjur goes on a hike and gets lost in the ascendant plane or something and becomes a statue.
