I'm not criticizing you. I'm saying that not everyone is as **generous** with their time, and willing to invest it in other people as you are. They just want to put the raid on "farm" mode at that point, and just "get it done as fast as possible". Not realizing that someone ELSE invested in THEM while they were learning. Either by teaching them....or patiently working WITH them while everyone learned together. Where you ARE wrong is in saying that "everyone" can just get a group of 6 people together who are willing to spend 5-7 hours trying brute-force their way through the raid. The whole reason for this thread is not only because NOT "everyone" can do this....but BECAUSE the vast majority of people can't. Especially at this stage of Destiny's life. In fact....I'm one of those people. Despite the fact that I was a regular raider in Destiny 1. 1. My clan is---for all intents and purposes----dead. My clan leaders basically use it as their why of getting THEIR friends together...and basically ignore the rest of us. We simply get used for Clan XP. 2. Like the OP. LFG is a big problem. Despite being a veteran player with 5000 hours in the franchise....I can spend HOURS on LFG trying to get SIMPLE things done. Because people make posts...and then abandon them. People boot you off their team if they don't like your load out...or meet their (usually) ridiculous demands for experience, power level or loadouts. I went to LFG last week to get a fireteam to do the "Nightfall Mission" to unlock the Izanami Forge. I wasted 45 mins...trying to join a team. I either got no reply....or I kept getting booted because I was "only" 631...and many people were demanding you be 640 for content that was listed at 625. I finally got tired of the shit. Then I posted to build my own team. Fortunately, I didn't run into the problem that the OP did (which I know is a problem for raids). I got people willing to join my team. I had to boot one 611. Had another false start with one of my remaining clan members who hadn't unlocked it yet. So I spent close to an HOUR AND A HALF trying to put together a fireteam to do a strike that we stormed through in 8 mins. With a 633, a 631, and a 628....while LFG "conventional wisdom" was demanding 640. No one died. No one even came CLOSE to dying Because you had 3 veteran players. But most people on LFG are too lazy to learn how to figure out how is experienced...and who isnt'. So they just make these ridiculous demands for being over levelled and over experienced. TLDR: Even God can't drive a parked car. I'm all for people helping themselves and taking responsibility. But you can't ask people to lift themselves up by their bootstraps if they don't have boots. The whole reason why there is such demand for what you do, IS BECAUSE you are giving people an opportunity to LEARN how to do these raids that are rare-to-nonexistent for the vast majority of the player base. It is not a matter of people being "lazy". Its a matter of those who have the knowledge generally not wanting to "waste" their time with those who don't have it. And those who don't have it not wanting to "waste" their time with other people who don't have it. So there is little to no opportunity for the new player to learn if they miss that initial window when the raid first drops. Unless they have a group of friends who raid regularly.....or an active, functional clan.
