It wouldn't negatively affect anyone, we'd still get IB, Quickplay, Comp, etc, but we wouldn't have to wait weeks for Mayhem to show up in the rotation.

2 通の返信I love the argument of "well, nobody would play Quickplay or Comp then"....Umm, what does that tell you?

4 通の返信And dilute the player pool so that connection becomes even worse? No thanks. Besides, I've always thought mayhem gets a bit obnoxious after a while. It's a perfect gamemode to be in the rotating playlist.

1 返信I’m ok with it. Anything to make the trash PvP slog to get two powerful gear drops faster.
-
1 返信I agree - it is the only time I complete my weekly Crucible bounties (when Mayhem is in the rotation)

3 通の返信Love Mayhem. LOVE IT. Hate the Crucbile in general, I think it is a completely broken system. Heard about the abundance of Supers and abilities in Mayhem, thought to myself "-blam!- that -blam!-ing shit." Actually gave it a try, and knew right away this was a great mode. Great for PvP? Meh, it was actually a fun experience, and I actually enjoyed going for my Crucible gear, but overall good PvP? Twas Ok. What was it really great for? Third subclass abilities. There was no easier way to power these abilities up! Took a couple matches and you were done! Wish it stayed, would have made the weekly grinds a little more fun, but I can see why it isn't a permanent fixture in the Crucible.

Been asked for since the first Dawning last year. They won't make any more permanent playlists because it'd probably split the population up too much to the point where the quality of their matchmaking will be even worse than it already is since there would be smaller pools of players to choose from.

7 通の返信Yes. Weapons do not matter in Mayhem. It's the closest we all get to trully being equals. Win or lose the match, I always enjoy myself!

If they hand out Shards of infinite burning knives to everyone, sure. (OK, I'm really not that butt hurt over them) Mayhem, outside of being a little more unbalanced than even an unbalanced game mode ought to be thanks to certain exotics, in my opinion, is the only crucible mode that is actually fun. Even quickplay is dried up as far as fun goes these days. Putting even some emphasis on winning has killed the enjoyment for Gambit and Quickplay for me. Comp is comp, no problem I get it wins and ability count. Team coordination is going to outweigh individual skill (usually). But they really should lay off the streaks in the modes that ought to just be fun.

1 返信Sad thing is, people will still pay others do it. Mayhem makes the crucible fun. Just make sure you throw enough grenades.

1 返信I agree.. mayhem is by far my favourite game mode... I play quick play but I like the chaos of mayhem. .

1 返信Zero One Echoにより編集済み: 12/28/2018 12:54:10 AMI have the same love for Mayhem. Which is why I’m going to suggest the opposite argument. Historically, when a playlist becomes permanent what organically happens is something adverse to the experience. At first, it’s a good thing because it’s still new like it is when it comes around every now and then; players swarm to what feels new or renewed. Unfortunately, permanent playlist degrade in population overtime. It will slowly begin to lose the casual player base as they are moving on to other things that feel fresh. What will remain in the permanent playlist is a dedicated elite player base with a low percentage of casual players. The wait times for matchmaking will increase and the difficulty level will increase. My suggestion is to keep things rotating and explore the rest of what Destiny 2 has to offer until Mayhem returns. This will maintain the health of this treasured game mode. Perhaps a good middle ground would be another intensely fun game mode similar to Mayhem. Anyone care to share some ideas...
