My audio is going completely flat on startup and loses all bass.
I got the game during the free time on Battle.net. I had some audio issues that would be start on game launch and wouldn't fix until i restarted my game a few times or PC once. It hadn't happened for a week or two so I figured it was gone. However, last night it happened again and I fixed it with a quick restart. This morning though, it happened when I launched the game for the second time and the flat audio bug happened. It's been 3-4 hours since then and still hasn't been fixed after troubleshooting and TONS of restarting.
This ONLY happens on Destiny 2.

I have the same headset yet don't use the engine. Steelseries support sucks for the 3 because it's not a USB. I've been playing destiny without the engine for about a month and the audio is fine. I just tweak it with windows settings.
Hi,
That certainly sounds annoying! I know you said it only happens in Destiny, but are you 100% sure? Could it be a coincidence?
I have had this happen to a pair of headphones that were connected to a soundcard, and that soundcard had a loose 3.5mm socket so when I wiggled the headphone wire at the headphone socket end it would cause the sound to lose its low end completely.
What happens when you exit out of Destiny? Does the sound restore back to normal? I guess it doesn't as you mentioned sound went back to normal after a restart.
When the sound loses its low end, try disabling the sound device in device manager and then re-enable it to see if the sound goes back to normal. Also, you could try stopping and starting the windows audio service to see if that restores the sound back to normal, access it by typing services.msc into window search box.
Have you tried another pair of headphones to see if the same happens? Also, have you tried uninstalling any software that came with your headphones (if installed) to see if that makes any difference?
