Menus on console (PS4 Pro) still REALLY slow .
Wasn't this update supposed to help? I don't notice a change. Still really bad. Maybe I didn't read something correctly and it is a future update?
Any help would really be appreciated!

You must’ve never played Destiny 1 back on PS3 then, because it loads way slower than you think. Example: (spend all rocket shots on Skolas, pop a titan bubble) “Hey cover me! Gonna use a heavy synth!” (Open menu to inventory, the thing finally loads after 30 seconds.)

4 通の返信Just from what I heard from a guy that does coding but not very much in the way of video games. He said he feels the issue is that they made and designed the game for PC then just dumb it down to work on consoles which can cause issues. He also stated that if they had made it for console then done tweaking for it to go to PC it would have been much better. He could be wrong and that is just a summary of what he said but everything kind of made sense to me. Kind of like what they said about fixing titan skating on pc would negatively effect consoles. To me updates for pc should be separate from consoles as I have seen updates in other games mostly intended for pc completely break the game on console.

4 通の返信Console tip. Try swapping your hdd in your PS4/Xbox for an SSD, improves load times in all games, including destiny menu loading.

Yup. It's ridiculous. It's bad enough how these poorly designed menus work against you, but at least they could be quicker loading. I still can't fathom how a game like this doesn't let you save your loadout and allow you to change it on the fly. I don't get it.

They said they would deploy an update to fix some issues, but I am thinking its for more travel (30 minutes to load into the tower goddamnit). If anything menu wise it would be small. I would say an SSD like the rest of the comments.

5 通の返信I believe this update was only for speeding up traveling between destinations. The menu loading would “take some more investigation” or some BS like that.

I think it was mentioned and being looked into, the loading Into the tower and words does appear to be quicker but the menus/inventory are still slow.

8 通の返信It's because you're basically opening a heavily congested web page each time you check your gear. No matter how much they try it's a server side issue.
