I'm not talking about Exotic quests, or raid weapons with random rolls, or the raid exotics...
I'm talking about a quest line, a lengthy and difficult one... equal to Luna's Howl or Broadsword... for a legendary weapon with a static roll that is just built for PvE.
Maybe two weapons, that are the meta for PvE- like how Broadsword and Luna's are for PvP.
Just an idea, PvE players don't have that 'quest' like grind like Broadsword or Lunas

40 通の返信No. This is illogical. Top tier legendary quests should require some crucible participation. The crucible is MORE challenging than any particular PVE experience. Human beings are less predictable than even the best AI. Either prove you are worthy or grind the PVE loot pools. The end.

You completely try to disregard all these weapons at the beginning of your post lmao, "yeah we have all this really good stuff for pve but....lets pretend it doesnt exist.... lets just undermine the grind that is pve. I would actually love to see the howl perk put on a scout rifle for pve in some fashion. Maybe have the damage buff start lower and ramp up the more precision hits you get to stop it from being to strong in pvp. But the concept is great. Luna's howl tears through majors in pve content.

Ignore them, the idea of having a solo long chain quest/punch list for those pve players that want exclusive gear to show off there dedication I think is a solid idea. It could be a lost city theme design with pve friendly perks. Cool.

Maybe if it was endgame related? Strikes, missions, public events are all so boring. Need to complete nightfall with x or complete x amount of raids with x, maybe put in some small part of gambit to be different

Like, its a shame that you want a weapon that is such a grind for PvP that you are "entitled" to an easier version. Just sad. A lot of PvP mains skip raids because its not there strong point unless there is something in the meta that is part of the raid.

I talk everytime this with my clanmates and everyone want something like a legendary gun with same difficulty for Luna / Broadsword. We think is possible with vanguard / NightFall score, like if you got 200k in every nightfall and others stuff new infinite forest high score, you could get PVE legendary cool weapon. And something I really want with black armory is this "new" black quality where weapons like Luna, Redrix, IKELOS or other weapon like PVE Pinacle weapon could go. This black stuff is for weapon better than a Legendary but not enought for exotic .

3 通の返信i dont like to pvp, only do it for the powerfuls to gear up for pve and i hate when exotics are chained to pvp quests when i dont want to pvp. there should be 2 diff quest chains for every exotic, one that has pvp and another that is all pve. make it more of a grind i dont care i just dont want to pvp, its that simple. now that im 600 on my titan and hunter, forget warlock jump i wont do pvp much more then the daily 1 match.

3 通の返信Yep. Vanguard needs to be made great again because right now it's extremely underwhelming. My thinking is they needed to make Vanguard extremely underwhelming this season so Crucible and Gambit didn't look so shit in comparison.

The Guyにより編集済み: 10/30/2018 6:05:52 AMI think a quest for a PvE weapon could be solo all strikes, get 7 100k nightfalls, solo a nightfall with only debuffs, finish all world quests, unlock all subclass and 3 tree subclasses, and hit max light. Edit: when I say world quests I mean any quest accessible in a public area. This includes whisper, wish ender, sleeper, and polarizes lance. (I included this because they are long and difficult to get)

2 通の返信i’m a pvp player and i just got lunas howl, and i must say i wish there were more quests like it across the whole game. in gambit, and in pve. the desire to spend hours and put a ton of effort into getting a gun that is at the top of its class is awesome, and the satisfaction of getting it in the end after a ton of work is an amazing feeling. and the fact that even after getting lunas howl you can go even further and an even better version of it is really cool too, even though i know i won’t get it. it’s good to know that the extra mile is there, and that the reward is even better. honestly, the ikelos shotgun would have been great for this since it is without competition the best pve weapon in the energy slot. maybe they could make another rapid fire frame shotgun with trench barrel and other perks that set it apart from the ikelos shogun.

1 返信Bungie needed to find a way to get more players to put a significant amount of time into PVP. They achieved that by making every quest type weapon require PVP of some sort. They are not worried about getting players to put more time into PVE.

8 通の返信Sounds ok on the paper. But in reality... not really. I mean, what are your suggestions? What kind of challenge can they create in pve? Finish 100 nightfalls? Kill 1000 enemies? Those are just steps a monkey could do with enough time. If they make hard quest (just like Luna) requiring you to do certain stuff on raid (petras run for example) most of PVE people would cry that its too hard and cant be achieved solo. So tell me, what kind of a challenge activity Bungie could create for PVE that is very challenging yet avaible for solo players and not too hard so the noobs can do it too. Impossible. PVE players even made them nerf Ace of Spades quest because it was too hard for them. Now you just have to kill some mobs.

Hard PvP objectives can be replaced by a lot of easier objectives. For example: - Get 75 double plays in teh crucible playlist (Redrix Quest) could be replaced by kill 10000 enemies with a certain archetype (dependent on the 1 and i mean only 1 God tier PvP weapon) Infact I would make it even harder so that only the true hardcore players could get it! That way less people would be able to get both of the weapons. In addition the PvE weapon would be a god roll in PvE but unusable in PvP to balance it and not make the grind for PvP weapons obsolete! There should be insanely hard PvE quests to replace the 7 quests for a redrix. - get 10000 kills with a certain archetype - get 5000 kills with every element - finish the weekly 100K nightfall milestone 100 times - finish the last wish raid 20 times - Complete the Petra's Run 3 times - Get all nf exclusive weapons - Reset ur infamy 3 times in my opinion (might not be yours) that would be examples of a hardcore PvE quest that could be readjusted according to difficulty (Would be up to the devs). or We should have a PvE exclusive perk that can only roll on PvE weapons after a shorter but still hard quest. Then I feel like it would be fun for both PvE and PvP genres. (As I said you can disagree with this but this is just my opinion)
