Every dedciated player should have been able to unlock the majority of the Forsaken Exotics by now.
Bungie reduces the drop rate to a all time low and refuse to let Xur the EXOTIC MERCHANT sell any of the new Forsaken exotics.
It astounds me that people are ok with this. Saying asinine things "it makes it exciting" or "it should be rare"
I say NO. It makes it tedious and annoying. I end up having to treat this game like a second job to spend 40+ hours for a chance to unlock content I already paid for. These exotics were front and center in the advertising of this expansion alongside Cayde's death. And in these 2 months after release I've only unlocked 2 new out 6 drops.
Fighting Lion droping in Haunted Forest, Are you serious Bungie?
This is a problem that needs fixing for the majority of us and Bungie needs to respect the time, energy and more importantly THE MONEY we put into this game.

I actually really dont give a sh*t about the drop rate. I dont even know the names of the Forsaken exotics, so even if I got one I wouldn't even know if it's a Forsaken, CoO or Warmind exotic. But then again I'm just a casual player. Just saying.. It's not a slap in the face for EVERYONE who paid for Forsaken. Some of us just genuinely do not care and are just playing the game to pass the time.

5 通の返信Exotic drop rates are a joke, progression design is still a mess, Bungie refuses to fix infusion, and we have a whole mess of balance problems they consistently fail to address at a reasonable pace, and oh, they still haven’t updated our year 1 gear to proper Y2 performance standards. It’s pretty clear at this point, between these and other problems, that Bungie doesn’t respect their players nor do they really seem to care about the quality of their own game. I’ve stopped playing Destiny 2 because it’s just not fun anymore, and grinding for time limited Eververse cosmetics doesn’t change that in the slightest. I can’t see myself coming back anytime soon, because Bungie doesn’t seem capable of committing to maintaining the game to the quality standards I expect. It’s just not worth my time.

So what I’m understanding here is, every mmo should give you the most powerful gear right away because you paid for it? Instead of grinding it out? So by that logic, every player should also be 600 right away and have all the new weapons right away because they paid for the dlc? See the problem there is that’s really dumb, if they make exotics easy to get, what do people have to chase for? It removes any replay ability that the game has. Look at year 1 of d2, after everyone got the base game exotics, what did we have to do? Nothing, people left and again in curse and warmind, making the ultra rare loot in the game easy to get is silly and gets rid of any replay ability. TLDR; drop rates are fine, fix duplication.

7 通の返信If we have all the exotics, we won’t have much to chase. You’ve been spoiled by the D2 vanilla drop rate. You could have all the exotics in a week. Now it takes longer and you don’t want it to. The drop rate is FINE!!! Duplicates are the problem, and bungie is addressing it!!

I’ve probably got 250+ hours in forsaken, maybe more, just a guess and I’ve had 1 new drop. I’m 600 on all characters I’ve been doing Petra bounties looking for decent rolls for the reverie armour. I had 4 year 1 exotics drop last week after only having a handful over the last 8 week. They obviously replace what would have been my dreaming city gear. It’s like the game recognises what I want and gives me the opposite. I was pissed to say the least.

its called RNG for a reason... ive not played d2 since its release... and i can say that i was getting drops non stop on release... that being said ive been playing forsaken for like a total 2 weeks starting tommorow... and not all day either... mostly on and off every now and again and i can say its not that bad and getting an exotic should feel like a reward rather than a chore... if you take it the opposite way then... all i can say is you have bad luck... ive gotten cerberus auto rifle... ive gotten foetracer helm, ive gotten sanguine chest for warlocks and last night ive gotten traverse steps for warlock aswell as veritys brow... like are you using coins etc?... doing different events? cruicible, strikes, public events, EP, blight well even? like theres so many chances to get loot drops so you gotta be either super unlucky or just not doing the right content.

It really does suck to get the same exotic over and over again. But i like how rare it is to get one let alone something new. Feels liks yr 1 destiny1 which i very much missed. Forsaken exotics are all pretty good perk wise which is why i think they are hard to come by. Getting excited af over an exotic drop or hearing someone else nerding out over a drop is nostalgic. I hope things get better for those who have yet to obtain any exotic tho but also not mess with the exotic rates so much. Not really the same issue but they practically handed out 600 light with the halloween event and iron banner becuase of all the crying. When they do stuff like that i regret the hours of personal grind ive done myself. When that patch comes alot more people will have some op exotics

If all exotics were just legendary with the same perks there would probably be less complaining like this. As far I have experienced most exotic weapons are no better than my best legendary. Armor on the other hand you may have an argument however I don’t think I’d want to have it right now. I’d say most players will use the exotic armor and weapons from the previous dlc with a current level infusion buff. There seems to me enough work to do on existing Loadouts and armor that compliment your best play style. A post like this seems a bit whiney. Bungie has already committed to eliminating repeat drops as much as possible. In all my time playing Destiny (since beta) this new drop code change on exotics is probably the one I would want the most.

Forget exotics all I want is the damn baron helmet for my titan and hunter and I can’t get to drop literally been on the mechanist mission ALLL DAY. I got one for my hunter the first day forsaken drop didn’t know what it was and deleted it smfh. If u do something over thirty times u should -blam!-ing get all the loot that mission has to offer.

It has made no difference to me, it took 3-4 weeks to get my first exotic. I have collected lots of decent weapons with good rolls. I have no expectations on exotics so I was never disappointed. I play destiny for lots of reasons but not exotics.
