I just got luna's howl solo
And Im beyond stoked that my grind is over. I did the entire quest in about 2 weeks, mind you I work full time and still have duties at home.
This grind was a rollercoaster of emotions: rage, heartbreak losses, joy of clutching a victory, anger when teammates leave and so on...
For those interested about ka/d. My overall ka/d dropped from 3.2 to 2.8 during the grind and its only logical you loose kd as a solo in comp. The amount of 4 stacks i fought with 2 or 3 solos alongside me is insane.
To all the solos who are still grinding, I wish you guys all the luck and keep it up, the gun is worth it.
Now on to my final 2 redrix broadsword steps.
A Small tip I can give is to switch your loadouts according to map, mode, enemy playstyle etc..
Edit: apparently i completed the quest in only 49 comp games.
Edit: this post is to encourage the other solos. Kd isnt everything, Ive encountered a number of 1.3 players that gave me a hard time in comp.

Doesn't really encourage me it just tells me bungies matchmaking loved you. Frankly if i were bungie id keep the quest but remove the rank requirement and change it to wins. Ive got 3 more sessions in me. Im on the last step and if i can't get it in 3 im deleting the quest. Not gonna play a bad mode that obscenely makes me angry

7 通の返信So as a solo player you need a 3 KD which in my estimate puts you in the top 0.1% of PvP players. Bungie again outdid itself catering to the streamers/elite players of this game.

4 通の返信Is not truth no way I was playing solo and I was getting blue berries left and right I can -blam!-ing win a game is impossible you get help from your teammates don’t lie .

3 通の返信You lost me at 3.2 k/ad. Mine is 1.52 and going up stupid slow. I was all motivated until I read that you’re just really good at Crucible. You did it solo because you probably carried half the time.

1 返信You are very skilled. 3.0 kda is good. I have a 1.6 kda and I’m on the final step. Sitting around 900 glory. Idk if I can get to fabled.

2 通の返信I managed to get the Broadsword its fun As hell, wiped an entire team with it in countdown in comp. Word of wisdom tho stay in the backline when using it it has mad crazy zoom and sux at cqc. But activating desparado fixes that ez. Got it doing its steps first and saved valor resets for passive completion in comp. It seems u get a but of extra valor from comp than qp wins.

Congrats! I hope you will enjoy it now. I'm stuck in the final part of the quest. It looks like, it's too hard to continue solo after 1600-1700, if you are not a really solid player. I think Bungie should do something with the loosing points, when it's 4vs3. It happens way too often and the shorthanded team is getting punished twice. They have to stay and get stomped and also they are loosing points at the end. That's when the rage kicks in. : )

2 通の返信I did most of mine solo until the time came to get not forgotten. I went from a 2.2 KD to a 1.87. It’s brutal out there. It’s not for everyone. Have fun in quickplay after. You’ll get tons of messages from jealous kids, but it’s all good.
