Stop hollering, bitching, and crying for nerfs. A year ago, our abilities and weapons felt too underwhelming. Bungie makes us powerful, and now you want it dialed back down. No nerfing the Sleeper. No nerfing the Shoulder Charge. No nerfing the Primeval's strength and difficulty. No nerfing the shotgun. Many of us have been wrecked by the same shit that wrecked you. And do you know what we did? We ADAPTED. We figured out how to counter that shit and got gud. None of us want a shit game again.
Shut up.

3 通の返信I don't want anything to be nerfed, I do want some things balanced up to be more even with things that are already working well. And frankly, gambit needs some features added to remove needs for weapons like sleeper to be nerfed... The problem first off with gambit is that it makes sniping by far the most efficient form of engagement. That's not going to change. What I continue to propose is that invasions cause a "fog" to develop, limiting long range sight for both ivnader and invaded, forcing the encounter to start off at close range, as the invasion timer counts down the fog clears more and more, opening you up for longer engagements, and clears entriely in the last few seconds allowing for high range sniping, this is the best way to address both spawn point memorization and sniping.... Point of fact, it is the only way that you will ever avoid calls for nerfs, and it creates a lot of drama because the invader could loom in out of the mist at any second.... Alert the invaded that the invader is growing closer by the mist slowly turning redder the closer they get. There are people who disagree but you're going to have persistent calls for nerfs over and over until you sort the root of the issue, not it's symptoms.

When 90% of the players use the same weapon in a game mode, it probably means that it’s OP. Just like Graviton was before. That and it is -blam!-ing boring. Your childish git gud is actually pretty funny because you don’t even have to be good to use Sleeper. But in your opinion you have to become a pro to counter an OP weapon that needs a fix? Guess what, even people that aren’t that good, for whatever reason, also bought this game and are entitled to have fun with it, without the frustration of this problem. It’s got nothing to do with being good or not, everyone gets killed by that weapon. Good luck countering it. They can nerf that weapon to the ground in Gambit for all I care. Trying to keep a game like this balanced will always be through buffs and nerfs. If you can’t take that, then this is not the game for you.

4 通の返信Having a healthy game environment means having a variety of viable options. Making that happen involves tuning existing options. Buffs and nerfs are both part of that. There’s definitely a lot of stuff that probably needs to be buffed in D2 right now. That does not, however, mean that there aren’t things that need to be nerfed to make for a healthier environment. On the subject of Sleeper Simulant specifically, I think it’s important that people consider that right now the identity of this weapon is almost entirely “way more DPS than other things in this slot or of its archetype”, and think about how that lines up with the design mentality of other exotic weapons in the game and whether or not such an identity is healthy at all. Restricting the ammo supply of such a weapon is one of the only ways you can try to bring it into balance without more substantial nerfs, and that may not be enough.

4 通の返信No. Because we also need balance. Nova warp is too powerful in PvP, shoulder charge is too powerful in PvP and it's unfair that 2/3 classes have a OHK attack. Either give all 3 a OHK or none.

2 通の返信I agree with everything but the sleeper thing. It should that sleeper will only two shot (body shots) in Gambit, nothing else. Don't nerf the damage, just code in some crap that will make the sleeper act like a sniper rifle in Gambit. Or you know... [spoiler]REMOVE SLEEPER BRING BACK TRUTH[/spoiler]
