Is anyone else just plan tired of all the jumping puzzles in Destiny 2? I have had enough of them. It almost seems that when Bungie can't come up with something unique or new, we get some or another jumping puzzle? For whisper it was ok, made sense, to do it big time once. But not over and over and over. Really, if I wanted to play a platformer game, I would. But Destiny is a First Person Shooter... or it used to be, right? Enough with the blasted jump puzzles! For example, does every ascendant challenge have to be a jumping puzzle more than a combat challenge, no, enough is enough.
Edit... This topic has really hit a nerve... over 500 posts!

1 返信Agreed I -blam!-ing hate destiny the platforming simulator I was bad enough at traditional platformers

1 返信I come from a platformer background so I don't mind them, but they are overused and shows lack of imagination more than anything.

7 通の返信I always say the same thing. Like wtf am I playing Mirror's Edge? I say it all the time. This is an FPS not Mario.. smh. The main reason I can't get the WotW. Hunters and Warlocks have np with all the turns and curves. Not Titans, even with strafe lift. I have made it all the way to the light door using the death from above smash. That was just fun as hell. Saw people do it for this week's Ascendant Challenge.

As much as I want to agree with you emotionally since I am horrible at jumping I intellectually can't. If there were not activities that were movement challenges everything would be a combat challenge so there would be no diversity. Just to be clear it took me 7-10 attempts to make it to the bottom of this week's ascendent challenge on my hunter last night and then wiped the adds in 30 seconds. Then tried several times the hidden platforms in the open to the Blind Well and then gave up.

No. Never once have I complained about a Jump Puzzle in Destiny. I was a Warlock during the ships in Kings Fall, I learned how to maximise my jump capability in that section alone. Jump Puzzles aren’t there to time gate or frustrate or screw you out of loot. Jump Puzzles are there to break up the game play of shooting and mechanics. It’s there to allow the team to de-stress a bit. It’s also absolutely funny watching bits of the map push you into your undeserved death. I’m not here to change your mind, you don’t seem the type give a -blam!- about my opinion, that’s fair enough I’m just a dweeb off Internet. I’m not here to show off my jump skills with my Warlock and tell you that you can do the same. What I hope from Bungie is continued innovation, maybe the jump puzzle can evolve and require a bit more than just pressing X. I’m with you on that. However jump puzzles are a good way to get your brain thinking, because trust me, D2 can get rather tedious when constantly presented with the shooting gallery.

It’s not even a jumping puzzle though. It’s extremely obvious where you’re meant to jump. The only parts that are even partly difficult are the turning platforms and even those a super easy if you just give a small jump just before you make contact 0/10 difficulty

3 通の返信I’m 90% sure I’m in the minority but PERSONALLY I enjoy having jumping puzzles especially in the raids because it gives you a break from the repetitive shooting gameplay in destiny.
