Thats very well written and I believe that method will work for the majority of players. I'm a gambling man and relied on fast boosting early on and praying my prime engrams dropped where I needed too. I lucked out, and the gains were very dramatic. I personally bet your methods would allow a safer, slower grind that is far more consistent.

It was where you would farm an encounter and NOT pick up the prime engrams. You see, your prime engram attunement buff only goes away when you PICK up the engram so letting them build up in your post master would allow you to keep making them drop up to 20+ all at once. People who did this were supposedly using up future buffs and Bungie stated that people abusing it would miss out on the buff for 2-3 weeks. I personally avoided it so I wouldnt lose my primes and it worked out haha

so you could have +10 / 20 level engrams fill you postmaster. but having one in your postmaster and picking one up? does that count? or not? I personally do the rinse and repeat. I pick up my prime engram, do a powerful gear drop. rinse and repeat.
-
Technically, the way it works is you get x amount of prime pick ups per day with the attunement, so picking up any more than x starts to subtract from tomorrows buff and the next day and so forth. However this also means not collecting x amount a day means the extras stack onto tomorrows buff. So say x is 3 and you collect 2. Tomorrows buff will allow up to 4 to drop.
-
but then by that logic if you have not picked it up, and you accrue those prime engram drop chances lets say logic 2 a day. and you go stack your Prime Engrams in the Postmaster (14 Total) , 1 weekly reset = 14 Powerful engrams, it should square out at 0 then. ?
-
Yes but the 1 downside is the engram is scaled to level the moment it drops, not the moment its collected. So lets say you were 560 light, those 14 engrams would all be between 568-570. And if bad luck got you, many could be for example, boots or helmets, all of which would be the same level making many useless to you.

I must admit, I am not sweating over my Light Level. its still adding excitement in building up, when you drop certain loot, or doing certain bounties etc. its not a chore, its a Challenge. I have had fantastic RNG in Forsaken, and I have dropped Exotics like Crazy - 9 in total 4 of the 9 has been Forsaken Exotics. - I am happy with the way I am progressing, may not be Hardcore enough to some but f*ckit, the people that bitch about your light level isn't paying your bills or didn't buy you the game so their comments are invalid.

Truth, and theres absolutely nothing wrong with the slow grind. I powered through intentionally so I'd be strong enough to carry my clanmates through activities like the Shattered Throne much sooner than they normally could. This has helped many with long hour jobs and school to keep up which is a win in my book ^_^ Your luck sounds incredible haha

I swear I don't know why, but ever since D2, I was following these forums religiously as it gave me some insight on what to expect, seeing that I played D1 after D2, I had to cover some gaps. everyone was always bitching and moaning about the grind, loot etc. bla die bla. I was looking at this and thinking to myself? WTF are people on about, I drop at least 4 Aeon Somethings a week. I remember I chewed through the content and was 385 in no time when Warmind Dropped. this, I can live with the slow grind is making it more fun. the more powerful you become the more you link that to your identity as per say, you get more confidence joining in on certain activities. now I can successfully run through the blind well with mates, help other mates through strikes without getting my Naught pulled apart by a one shot Thrall who wants to wear it like a necklace. I am confident now to run the nightfall, do the higher level activities etc. its fun,. it really is. even on the Rolls I have been getting on my guns there are people in my clan that hate me for some of them but hey, I don't know why its the way the game works for me. it makes some salty and they don't want to play with you for a while because they are hardcore and play a lot and here you come with your 3 hours a night and you get the guns they were looking for with the perks they wanted. this game has dropped nothing but good loot for me.
