Everyone knows that death heals Primeval, but not everyone knows all of the intricacies of how the Primeval Slayer buff works. The Gambit Design team wanted to clear up a few misconceptions.

However, the number of bonus stacks received is always going to be less than the leading team’s current total. Think of it as a tow cable trailing behind the leading team.
• There is a limit to the catch-up mechanic’s generosity. Even if the leading team is at Primeval Slayer x10, the lagging team will never start out with more than a few stacks when spawning their Primeval.
Our twin goals have been hitting the right balance between elasticity and competitiveness and fostering close, dynamic games. Now that Gambit is out in the wild, we’re closely monitoring the conversation around the Primeval phase (and playing a ton of it ourselves).

9 通の返信Well how about this The Gambit Design team. How about you stop with that pussy shit and punish teams who drop 3-4 ogers on a team who is fighting their Primevil. Know what I won't even make you think, I will just give you some hella dope ideas. Idea 1 : Take away the bonus stacks for shit players. If my team doesn't get primevil out in an effective amount of time then we don't deserve those stacks we didn't earn. Also I am not a Tow Car and I hate the fact you are essentially saying I am carrying my enemies. Already got to carry my teammates, I don't need extra luggage. Idea 2 : Once an enemy spawns a primevil you can no longer drop blockers on their side. This prevents players from cheating the system by dropping 3-4 ogers on an already swamped team dealing with a Primevil, two envoys, a ton of trash mobs, and your hot garbage you keep tossing at them. Oh also bonus tip : You ever heard of the expression if you don't use it you lose it? Well how about if you don't use your invades then when you spawn Primevil you lose them. There is nothing more angering than an enemy having Primevil and still having the ability to invade a team without their Primevil. If you don't use it, you lose it. Obviously you guys don't care about advice and everything is working as intended and your entire fanbase is simply the happiest and least toxic bunch of cunts in the world

I don't really know how to comment without getting mad how everything is about catch up for those in behind only for them to win. I can't get a win after 7 loss streak due to this. I suggest just leave Gambit alone after removing the whole buff for those behind away. It's sickening to see my team barely died to invaders but still lose cause they shred the boss much faster. It honestly annoying to see you not doing a good job in Gambit. It feel like a full pvp than pve and pve

I personally think that bungies matchmaking algorithm needs mass work. if the majority of games i load back to back have fire teams. then why arent you loading the fire teams together instead of four solo players versus a fireteam its not logical.

Joining a gambit match with 1 person trying to play against 4....where’s the buff in that? I lost my win streak due to joining a match that was already in progress. Trying to keep grinding for the new bounty but these types of issues redirects attention elsewhere!!!

42 通の返信VirtualSoulssにより編集済み: 9/30/2018 2:28:36 AMhow can gambit be a competitive game mode when you give the loosing side so many advantages. opposing team gets: .infinite invades if our primevil is up before theirs. .the ability to send blockers even after our primevil is summoned. .if the opposing team loses the first match they get: more enemies that drop more motes, literally making it easier. .if our team gets primevil first the opposing team get slayer stacks without doing any work. this game mode isn't competitive at all, every mechanic works in the loosing teams favour. there is currently zero advantage to summoning the primevil first. you don't give the loosing side in trials any advantages or extra buffs, so why in gambit? why does the ascendant primevil have such a low spawn rate? my guess is so you can artificially boost gambit player population, as people are slowly realising that it's not competitive and has a lot of balance issues. edit: ditch the catch up mechanics completely, or make gambit a non competitive game mode.

3 通の返信The sleeper should get locked from use when invading. The should also be more of a delay when it notifies you that an invader is inbound. I’ve been killed a couple time just as it said invader inbound. Kinda unfair when they can kill u before u even know their on your side. And loses should still give points in legend rank. So many people quit matches when a lose is a complete waste of time. Ps it’s not fun when your on a win streak and lose because people think their gona lose .

How about we stop these dumb catch-up mechanics? Play the game and the objective! The catch- up mechanics only encourage NOT playing the damn game. Waiting for the other team to summon, banking and dropping a crap load of blockers AND endless invasions AND a buff to primeval slayer? There shouldn't be the benefit of all three. Because your team PLANNED to be "behind" and get an artifical advantage. The team playing the objective shouldn't be penalized, they rightly should have the advantage. It's a broken notion that fosters bad gameplay, not close games. Both teams playing and doing their best fosters close games.

10 通の返信Both teams sit on motes so they pull the primevil second and get massive advantages by doing just that. Why do you have to ruin everything you make by trying to even things up. I now only play gambit for the milestone and once I'm 600 not gonna bother with it or crucible, which also has an algorithm advantage for losing team. You make something reasonable, not great like you think it is, then break it with this shit. Let teams fight and remove losing buffs I don't mind losing to a team better than mine, but losing to a team and bungo's buff is hot shit. Such a sad company

Catch up mechanics are dumb, please remove. Not to mention, the team that is behind already gets a catch mechanic in that, when they bank to summon their primeval, it spawns blockers which now need to be dealt with at the same time as the primeval and accompanying ads. If done properly, team B can spawn multiple ogres that now need to be killed and dealt with at the same time as the primeval and invaders. There is no need for a catch up mechanic.

3 通の返信My problem with this is when you pull first you are then subjected to endless invasion AND blockers being sent when the other team pulls their Primeval. The first team to pull can’t send over any more blockers giving the lagging advantage. At least stop blockers from being sent from the lagging team once the Primeval is pulled.

GTFO of here bungie with you're watered down games. Dark souls don't, COD don't at what point do you tell Everton get better it's meant to be hard. Nah instead we get rid of trials and water the game down for everyone. When is anthem out again?

7 通の返信hey bungie, wanna know the best way to promote close matches? get a better matchmaking system, get dedicated servers, design a ranking system that actually makes sense and is fair to players that get deserted or disconnected. if you actually matched players of similar skill the matches will be closer, how many people does it take to complain about getting matched against stacked teams while their team is all randoms. your whole philosophy with D2 PVP has been lets get people into shitty, unbalanced matches as quickly as possible because the most annoying, frustrating, rage inducing thing about PVP is waiting in orbit right? RIGHT!?! news flash bungie, people would much rather have a longer wait for a better quality match period.
