PvP centric? In total you have to get a whopping 30 PvP kills..... other then that it's 250 PvE kills then go into PvE and find chests. Boom you are done. It's a short and simple quest. 2 short PvP quest steps 2 short PvE quest steps. In all honesty if you don't cheese the PvE part that would actually take longer then the 30 PvP kills.

30 PvP kills in [b]very[/b] specific ways. Not only do you have to get five hand cannon kills against an enemy invader who has distinct advantages like overshield and vision through walls whilst being fired at by enemies and trying to not lose your life and your motes, but 25 headshot kills in the Crucible is easier said than done and certainly very different than just getting 25 PvP kills. Sure, I'll be able to grind through eventually, but mandatory PvP grinds of this scale are like the 30 super kills required for the Solstice armour - if you're not a regular PvP player, it's very much a grind. If the PvE story focuses heavily around a gun, then the quest to get the gun should be - at least in the majority of steps - focused around PvE, with minimal interaction in other areas required.

If you literally just play gambit you will get the 5 kills no problem. Gambit itself is fun. Besides the invaders spawns are fixed to 3 locations so if you have cleared all the adds at the other sites they don't spawn at the one you are currently at so that narrows it down to 2... since you cleared all the adds you can now see on your radar exactly where the invader is at... it's not like the maps for the most part are massive. Go look for him and kill him.... pretty simple... they are usually going for the guys with the most motes anyway so if you bank when you have 5 everytime they typically will ignore you if you have 0-3 seeing there are guys with 10-15 that are the priority. For the 25 PvP kills just log into quickplay with a 180 hand cannon (they are the most forgiving and user friendly.. they also are great at snagging headshots for you with little aim involved) The 30 PvP super kills was easy. Put on a roaming super and profit. You are welcome for all the tips. The quest is pretty light on PvP and PvE... in regards to both it is pretty balanced. As I said it's a pretty short simple quest.

I've played maybe 20 games of Gambit and gotten 2/5 so far, but I wasn't aware invader spawn was locked to one of three places. I've also been using Dire Promise, not my Better Devils, so I'll use that and see if it works a bit better. I did use a roaming super for Solstice, but, again, I'm not a main-stay PvP player. I'm not really fully aware of the meta and so my usual loadout wasn't always up to scratch. Regardless, I appreciate your tips. I'm still not sure we've got the same playstyle as it still looks to be a grind, but perhaps it will be a little easier.

A lot of people swear by the dire promise archetype because it has the potential to 3 tap headshot. Miss a crit though and you're fudged. I am some booty cheeks with that archetype. 110's are 1 crit 2 body and have good range, 180's are really forgiving so those 2 archetypes for the most part are what I stick to.

Okay, I admit my wrong - using Crimson instead of Dire Promise, I did all 25 headshot kills in four matches. I've now got the Ace of Spades. Maybe I'm better at this PvP thing than I thought.
