Everybody's talking about the grind and how good it is that everybody has a chance, but nobody is stopoing to think if people should have the chance.

 • Why shouldnt they? Everyone bought the game, everyone paid the price for it. Anything less is a false sense of elitism.

 • No it's not. PvP doesn't go by the same rules. It isn't merely that since you bought the game, you are entitled to everything in the game. Some things you have to work for. Raid gear you have to work for. Trials 'prestige' gear you have to work for. Redrix is no different: it is the Competitive playlist's prize that you need to work for. And that's a good idea to have. However, opening up the accessibility defies that idea. If you want to provide a prize for the best, don't become lenient on how you define the best. By virtue of it being a prize in the Competitive playlist, many people will not get it, based on their skill. That's absolutely fine; that's how competition works. Just wanting the prize and buying thr game isn't enough to become entitled to it - you need to work for it. Then the good players can distinguish themselves by the prize they earn. At least that's the concept. It is absolutely an elitist concept, just like every other end game prize in this game requires you to prove yourself to get it. PvP is just harder. So what? Players should get better, instead of Bungie effectively handing it out behind a long ass quest.

 • People are entitled to everything the game has to offer, provided they can do what is required, Claymore proved to be too much that Bungie wanted the perk combo out in the wild so more people can have the chance to test it. Claymore isn't even worth grinding, it's pain and frustration all to show you did a thing. This is a far better alternative to this, Valor this season had a ghost shell as it's penultimate reward and it was just underwhelming, this gives Valor something to grind for without the frustration of a flawed point system. If Comp really is your thing, there will be a new reward waiting for you and if that still makes you unhappy then you really need to come off your high horse...

 • I'm not sitting on a high horse. I effectively agreed with everything you said in the other comment I made - it's fine if Bungie wants a more accessible weapon for all plauers to grind for, as long as it doesn't take the place of the Conpetitive pinnacle reward. If there is another Competitive weapon, then great. If not, that's a problem

 • Actually, people are entitled to everything in the game because THEY PAID FOR THE GAME. Sorry you don't get to feel special in a video game you whiny ass snowflake, go make some real life accomplishments if you want a cookie and a pat on the back so damn bad lmao

 • What a simplisitic view of gaming you have. Don't paint me with that low resolution view of yours either. You paid for it, that's great. However, what you paid for is the opportunity to compete. Just because you pay an entry fee doesn't give you the right to the prize, it means you have the right to compete. I don't even have the damn gun, so don't think I'm searching for some sense of acconplishment that you have yet to earn yourself. This is more than me wanting to feel elite, it's about what direction this game is going in - do we have goals and prizes that are hard to reach but worth it, or do we just make things more accessible. But your intellect is too narrow to see the more abstract discussion here.

 • It's not, I see you for exactly what you are. No amount of falsified intellect on here will make up for your arrogance. By your logic, people arent entitled to food, water, or shelter and should just die. Being alive is simply participation am I right? Truth is, its just a video game. A form of entertainment, a hobby for most, and a profession for some. There is absolutely no negative to a gun in Destiny 2 being more obtainable to the majority. If you can't see that, you're only proving my first comment to be true.

 • Now you've taken it all out of context. Quite obviously this is about the prize in a competitive game. That has nothing to do with issues people face in life. You're right, in that there is nothing wrong with a gun being more accessible. That's not what the problem is. This gun was supposed to be the pinnacle competitive prize, but its accessibility doesn't reflect that. If you want a prize to be the one that players in PvP strive towards, it just can't be that accessible. They could have introduced a whole new weapon with the exact same quest and it wouldn't have been a problem, as long as there also existed a separate weapon that represented a pinnacle competitive reward. The problem isn't in the accessibility, it's in the removal of the elite prize.
