Hey all,
Yesterday, we announced the goal of removing time pressure associated with Glory ranks, and that Pinnacle Crucible rewards will be awarded via quests starting in Season 4.
Redrix’s Claymore will remain exclusive to Season 3. The Redrix’s Broadsword will be available through a pinnacle weapon questline in Season 4 offered by Lord Shaxx. To set expectations, here are the quest steps that must be completed in order to acquire Redrix’s Broadsword:

If you already reset your Valor rank 5 times this season will you have to do it again next season, or will it retroactively track?
-
Bungie: We don't want people to feel like PvP is a second job for them. Also Bungie: Reset Valor 5 times in one season for this META weapon.

This quest steps is fair for me so no need to complain since Redrix Claymore is difficult and time commitment to acquire, but I was hoping for Broadsword to be an exotic so the Claymore is still valuable without sacrificing exotic slot
-
Frankly with all these steps the Broadsword seems to be the gun worth bragging about.
-
At this rate the only people getting a handout here are the ones who’ve already got the Claymore.

Bring back Redrix Claymore for those that got it. Make it that it can roll ballistics and sights at the same time along with the extra perk and mod/masterwork system. Make the Redrix broadsword a 390rpm(speeds up to the same rpm as the claymore) that can roll sights extra perk and mod/masterwork 300 to 400 competitive matches to get. We still need a grind. Those requirement are not a grind for an entire season. Peeps will have it done in 1 to 2 weeks.
-
A painful grind through infuriating pvp for a mediocre reward that at the same time, undervalues a past reward that people bled for. Well done Bungo.
-
They should make the quest longer, so u have to grind for it like in D1. BUNGO, WE NEED THE QUEST TO BE LONGER!
-
None of this is hard for a PvP player. Which is who this weapon is for. You casuals and PvE only players have no right to complain. PvP players don't complain that Midnight Coup is a raid drop that's also random. Also, no one cares about your outside responsibilities.
-
Should have kept the same system for claymore for the broadsword. Will be much more manageable now that radar is coming back for competitive play. No radar = trash crucible
bring back 3v3 elimination for trials
Defeat 200 opponents with Pulse Rifle final blows....gee, I wonder what broken ass weapon they want us to use?! Hmm, oh, maybe Lincoln Green? No?! Thanks for giving us more problems with Graviton, Bungie.

Does resetting your valor 5 times in season 3 count to the broadsword quest? I'm sitting on four resets this season and i want to know if it's worth grinding out the last reset, thanks!

justin_giverにより編集済み: 8/19/2018 4:10:21 AMWow. I have three resets in season 3 and play often. The grind will be real. Be nice to know the length of season 4. How many weeks we will have so we can pace our grind out accordingly. Do appreciate the transparency in this That said, it feels like byvtge time it is earned the season will be over and there will be some other mechanism to make it useless in game. It won’t make me play more, and it won’t make me play less.

Well, you're all very happy about this weapon today. Considering the fact that Redrix's Claymore was simply "Quickplay, Quickplay, Quickplay, Quickplay, Quickplay, Quickplay", this is a much better thing to do. Rather than be immature about it, consider this: The quest-line for Redrix's Broadsword is going to take longer than just a week or two weeks for the core players. Even for the hardcore fans (who are currently hating on this weapon), this will be a high climb. Even the biggest elitists of the 5% of Destiny's Community can agree this is true, and it is better. "This recycled Redrix's Claymore has random rolls while the other doesn't." I'll let you figure out why that is. "Improve Redrix's Claymore if you're going to create another, better one." That's just desperate. Also, they cannot simply press a few keys to make a certain weapon, class ability or exotic perk more powerful in just a few minutes, or hours, or even days. Again, instead of being angry over something you think is a problem, at least try to consider it an improvement that will catch on. I know for sure that I'll have a fun time progressing to get this new weapon-- even if I don't-- because as a dedicated fan of Destiny, I know that I'll have a lot of fun with this.

"CANT WAIT FOR MY FREE REDRIX" *bungie announces you have to earn it* "-blam!- YOU BUNGIE, I HATE YOU." And people say this community isn't entitled. All those PVE players who taunted us with their "free redrix" comments, now look at them. Bit of a grind and they all flee like rats. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again. If you aren't willing to grind for something, you don't -blam!-ing deserve it in the first place folks.
-
Yesterday people were like REEE my claymore is worthless bOI your Claymore is worth half a lifetime of grinding s h u t yo moUth BBIIIHIHHH
-
-
-blam!-ing completions? Defeats? Should be wins, kills. Thanks for devaluing my gun.

So like, can you complete the steps during season 3 and cash in on season 4? I'm just curious wether grinding to reset rank 5 in season three is a good idea or not
