If you look at other big rpgs like masseffect , the witcher 3 , skyrim etc they all have an in game codex implemented in the game where you can read lore to your hearts content. Destiny just continues to milk their playerbase when they could have opted to put this book in game, but ofcourse money talks bullshit walks i bet the lore content creators are behind this move.

What are 99% of the changes coming to forsaken then. Its all character progression rpg mechanics. The game was strictly a fps lootershooter. Now its a full on mmo like rpg. Destiny 2 is an mmo like rpg and the forsaken expansion will hammer that home big time because thats what the community wanted.
