You're going to be disappointed, for a game that touts itself as social it's really not. That said the PC version is the best about it.
Now if only they could get actual voice chat with randoms in all spaces. Also yeah being opt in really makes it so people never join in, and people just generally being socially stunted.

Thanks for a semi good reply about this Very Sad Situation on a Multiplayer FPS in 2018. This situation eats the will to dive into D2 more and more each day & month :/ When in there then is like being in a bubble & see people talking outside, but can't hear them.. Sad :/ [b]Please Bungie Read good topics & comments about this on D2 Reddit & do the good moves :) Some topics are kinda outdated cause now there's a Local Chat, but it's So called L.Chat as i mentioned above. Many people know silly it is now. Many comments on these links still apply well..
