Destiny 2 Servers are Unavailable (everyone else playing) PC

I just purchased this game and can say I'm thoroughly disappointed so far. I haven't even been able to play it as the only screen I have seen is "Destiny 2 Servers are unavailable, dismiss this message to try again" I have tried multiple ways to fix this to no avail. I just downloaded this game today and have spent the last hour It should be noted I purchased through battle.net. internet is fine firewall is not blocking the game I've done all the obvious checks and am out of ideas barring a complete reinstall which I don't want to do and seems ridiculous that I would even have to since I literally JUST installed it. Overall extremely unhappy. if I can't figure this out by the end of today i'm just going to get a refund and be done with this POS.

  • Absolutely disgusted by this and bungie's response to all the people having this issue, I've been PC gaming for 20 years and have never not been able to get a game to work until now. And believe me I've had quite a few with problems as can be the nature of PC gaming. I've tried all the tricks in by book but the game simply refuses to connect to the server. I've even tried all the community solutions. Nothing. Router is good 60 DOWN / 6 UP Connection is near perfect Minimal Packet Loss Low Jitter Complete Reinstall Release/Renew IP Power Cycle Router Ports Forwarded Disabled Ethernet and a whole lot more that I don't feel like listing, it just refuses to connect. the one thing I haven't tried is a wired connection as this is impossible with my current setup (it also shouldn't be required to play a game anyway). I am out of ideas and bungies generic response to everyone with (Troubleshoot Network Problems Link) is disgusting. Acknowledge there is a problem, Diagnose and Fix and above all communicate with players about it. Oh, Last thing, Give me an option in that stupid popup to close the game. Getting stuck in a perpetual retry cycle because there is no menu or other options besides "Esc to try again" irritates the heck out of me. I don't like force closing applications if I don't have to. Though this is admittedly very minor and simply blown up over stress from this whole ordeal. Still should be addressed.
