What version of the nvidia drivers are you running? If you are not running the most recent this can happen quite frequently. Also when was the last time you checked your memory for errors and/or bad sticks?

Ok and are you running this on the native screen on the laptop or an external screen? Also, first thing I would do is take out one of your sticks of RAM and then put it back and take out the other. It really sounds like you have a stick going bad to me, especially now that you are using SoDIMMs

Then if that is the case you have a hardware problem or a driver corruption problem SOMEWHERE. It can be caused by a GPU going bad, RAM going bad or a really poor performance hard drive (you are running it off an internal hard drive not an external or thumb drive right?) ... If it is not hardware related, then I would look at my drivers. Go into safe mode and uninstall all of your nvidia drivers and then reinstall the most recent drivers. I just tested it here on my work computer and got FAR better than 15 FPS and I'm running on onboard graphics here (Intel). Also MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER IS USING THE RIGHT GRAPHICS CARD. Some newer gaming laptops have a dedicated card (your GTX-960) and an onboard graphics (usually Intel based) but the program itself needs to be TOLD which of the two GPU's to use in order to get optimal graphics. In your game settings, what does it show as being used for your graphics?

And I'm telling you SOMETHING is not good about either your hardware or software or you would NOT be having this issue. PC's are not as simple as playing games on consoles which means you have to look deeper than 'everything is fine on other games' because those games may not be utilizing the specific part of your memory or HDD that Destiny 2 is using. It could be as simple as a setting issue in your graphics or it could be as complex as a corrupt installation (run the repair tool from inside Battle.net). Without being AT your computer it is rather difficult with your evasive and effusive responses you are giving. Let's start this differently. When was the last time you rebooted (FULLY POWERED DOWN, LET SIT, AND POWERED BACK UP) your computer? Next, post screenshots of your settings IN GAME so that we can look at them.

I have run repair. i also completely uninstalled and reinstalled. i have deleted and reinstalled drivers. i have rebooted several times. I am simply trying to find an answer to the problem or a troubleshooting i have not thought of or tried already.

and that is what I am trying to provide you with but you answer rather obtusely when I ask you what settings you are running on the PC which is why I have asked you to post some photos so we can HELP figure out what your issue is.

Your VRAM usage tells me that you are in fact using onboard graphics AND NOT your dedicated graphics card. Do you see where it says it is using 128MB of your 1024 MB of VRAM. The GTX960's all come with a minimum of 2GB of RAM (which is FAR more than 1024 MB)

okay so i have the application. i have tried multiple times to log in and the application shuts down I get an 'GeForce Experience encountered an error and must close' also tried 'Change default graphics processor...' from battlenet and get 'Nvidia Display settings are not available' double checking my drivers again and going to reboot
