Why did you change the perk on it. It was my favourite hunter exotic in Destiny 1 but now its great perk is gone and replaced with a mediocre perk. The Sealed Ahamkara Grasps were perfect for my "build" in Destiny 1 since it allowed me to carry 2 smoke grenades that made me go invisible, I used this to be the "reviver" in my raid group since it was easy for me to revive whilst invisible. Now in Destiny 2 there is no build because everyone uses the same stuff and the same perks because you can't even change them which makes the game very mediocre compared to Destiny 1. Please consider adding back the customization of subclasses and give us some nice exotics that make us play very differently like the Sealed Ahamkara Grasps in Destiny 1.
I just don’t see how it’s fair how the warlocks Claws Of Ahamkara still have the two melee perk but the Sealed Ahamkaras Grasps get this shit.

I'd say the new perk gives a different playstyle that lets you dominate cq with never needing to reload. Imagine that perk when using a shotgun or smg. Old GoA just gave you two melee charges(with a small chance to reload on melee hit...kill?) and didnt cater a "New playstyle!" like you say.
