No this is a good step because we actually have a grind in the game instead of getting everything the first week
No. This is just a grind. A grind for the same lame things we've been grinding for since the game came out.
A good grind is scrounging up enough legendary marks for a great roll vendor weapon.

Can we farm the raid/trials? Nope. Can we progress after the milestones are complete? Nope. Short of deleting and remaking a character just for raid/trials, you are capped, and restricted in how you can progress. Even if you do delete a character, you are 10-24 hour investment, just to return to the place you once were before you deleted a character. You can literally only make so much progress in a week, no matter how much you grind. You then have to wait a week to make another small increase. Then another. Etc. How is that not a time gate?

Leveling is the end game, this game has shown time and time again, that gear is not the goal. That little number at the top right of your inventory screen, IS. Not to mention, the new trials stuff will more than likely be an evolution to the ornaments on the gear we already have, along with a handful of weapons, two or three of which will be adequate. The raid lair, will be another ugly set of armor that has the same perks as every other piece of ugly raid armor, collectors only need apply. We'll also get (according to promo art) a sidearm, and a fusion. Lol. In several runs, you'll get them, and even when you get them, are they going to be better than a main ingredient, or last hope? Nope.

Level hasn’t been the end game since Crotas end because it’s been so easy to level up since HoW its about getting the gear in the raid or trials that makes them worth doing always has been always will. We don’t know anything about the new raid lair for all we know it could have the best weapons in the game and trials added 2 of the best PvP weapons in the game with CoO and probably will add more with warmind.

Bingo. That's the fvcking problem. Not the fact that "it's easy to level now, slow that shit down!" it's that there is no reason. There's too much fluff, not enough substance. This change is not going to make things better, it's going to make them categorically worse.

It’s still a problem because light doesn’t mean anything because everyone can get to max by doing public event and it doesn’t have any major buff against enemies who are lower light then you if light was harder to get which i seems there going to that route then it will mean something because that show that this person plays this game a lot and does all the end game activity’s.

So making power levels harder to come by is going to make you feel more powerful? Making you weaker, is making you more powerful? No, it's merely putting a roadblock in your way to being on par with the world around you at higher difficulties. That is asinine. As for doing public events to get to max light, you know how long that would take? If solo players (or anyone) is willing to put the effort in, who cares? They still don't have all that supposedly wonderful loot from raids, or trials. The whole idea of your power level meaning something was shat on long ago when they allowed banner gear to get you to 30. It doesn't matter where your power comes from. Putting artificial barriers into the game helps no one.

It is very easy to get to max light from public event because of exotics hence why they are removing that option. I really don’t get your problem with the weekly reset most MMO type games have a weekly reset and it doesn’t even stop you from getting most of the loot especially from trials because token literally are everywhere and besides you’ll still be able to get to max light without raid and trials it’ll just take longer which is how it should’ve been from the start.
-
You get an exotic, what, 1 in 10, with good RNG? Each one happens every 5 minutes, takes several minutes to clear. You're looking at an hour, easy, to get one piece. Also let's not forget there are no exotic class items. So... An hour, to hopefully get 1 of 7 pieces you need to get your light up. Per class, so multiply all of that by 3. That's too easy to farm? BS. Reset isn't the issue. It's that even at max rank, having done everything, you still feel no more powerful than the enemies you face. That's the real problem. So, making the handicap even steeper, then adding extended bullshit to keep you from simply getting back to a place where you're on par with the enemies, is stupid. At least when you could do everything and then farm/grind to further make further progress there was the illusion that you had some control.

And a raid with an average group usually takes anywhere from 2-5 hours for around 5-6 pieces of loot it’s around the same speed except one is much easier how do you think so many people are max light but haven’t even touched raids or trials and I haven’t even included milestones and if you do it is way more affective to do public events and milestones then it is to do raid and trials.
