i have finished the campaign in reach and i seem to mis if June dies it never shows or tells you because after you give commander keys cortana it shows Emile get stabbed by the elite and then you go get on the mac cannon and help the piller of atom escape.
Posted by: BlackBulletRave Spoilah alert! Yes, Jun DOES die. Its quite obvious. During the escape from the Forrunner Facility under the Ice Shelf, the Covenant begin their attack on the small facility. Of course, you push them back, and they TEMPORARILY retreat. As Halsey retrieves Cortana, and everyone retreats to the surface, Halsey makes it known that none of the Covenant can reach the place where Cortana had been. Two facts are pretty much known at that moment. 1. The Self Destruct HAD been set, but could be dis-armed. 2. Someone would have to stay behind, to insure that the Self-Destruct could not be over-ridden, and the information at the terminal taken by the covenant. So, as they all board their pelicans, keep an eye on Jun. You see him not going torward the SECOND pelican ( Halsey's Pelican [ May I add that she demanded that none go with her. ]), but he heads DOWN THE RAMP, BACK INSIDE the facility. As the pelicans lift off, and fly away, you see the Ice Shelf explode, killing all covenant inside. So, that would mean that Jun's mission was a success. He had insured that the Self Destruct was not disabled, and paid with his life. Boom-Chacka-Boom.
what.. he gets on the pelican..
Posted by: xSabreOneActualx Beta comments, here is what happens. Jun leaves with Halsey and escorts her to the other base. The reason for the other bodies could be: -An Easter Egg -Or the other Spartans who died on Reach (Red Team, etc.) So your comments all fail.
but all the spartans are green lol jk im not retarted
-
So much fail in some of these post. "Oh master chief is the only spartan that made it off Reach and is the only spartan left, I know because the instruction booklet in ce said so." "...sooooo you never read the books or know any of the lore?" "There are Halo books?!" *Facepalm*

that seems like the most possible answer
Posted by: JDYeash937 MkII Well, Jun was escorting Halsey. And we know she survived the glassing of Reach because she was in First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx. But Jun is nowhere to be seen in First Strike (obviously) so I think we have to assume that he found transport off-world (where the hell to?), or simply was killed ensuring Halsey made it to CASTLE base.
who knows if Jun died cause in the game informer issue Feb. 2010 it says Halo Reach the video game is not based on the book the fall of reach. And after the end of the final mission (lone wolf), before the credits it shows the Pillar of the autum near a halo ring in space and you hear Commander jacob keys and dr halsey talking so Halsey survived, who knows about jun. but Halsey did survive listen to the credits. (They say- Commander Jacob Keys "But (halsey's 1st name) My question is did they make it?" Dr Halsey "I think we both know the answer to that question."-something like that) They were Both on the Autun (jacob keys and Dr Halsey) so halsey made it.
Posted by: pigy pig jun is dead. he never escorted halsey. if you pay attention, halsey claims she does not need "escort" so Carter "orders" Jun to stay with sword base and make sure demolition goes as planed. a suicide mission. while Jun is speaking with Carter, you can see Halseys pelican take off in the back ground. i believe his death scene is the massive explosion of sword base, since he had to go back to see it through. to be honest though, i was hoping for a legendary ending where 6 was about to get a *spoiler* sword through the chest from an elite when a sniper round takes the elites surrounding 6 out, and Jun appears hanging from a falcon saying to 6 "need a lift" and they pull some halo CE bull *^&^ and escape the glassing. CARTER: "good luck rifleman..." JUN: "Its been an honor sir..."
Dude that would have been a bad ____ way to end it! I don't care how many times I see the clip, or what others say, i refuse to believe that 6 is dead. He can't die..... legends don't die right? p.s. bad ____ is a good thing. Use your imagination to fill in the blank.......... /-\$$ [Edited on 04.05.2011 11:13 AM PDT]

Halo: The Fall Of Reach; is a novel based on the Spartan's and their operations before and during the Reach battle. Jun died to protect Halsey in the book. However, I don't expect the majority of the community to enjoy reading Sci-Fi books with better plot/storyline than the games that they're based off of; thereofre the majority of the community is misinformed when it comes to the Halo series.
