While I enjoyed both D1 and D2, and definitely got my $ worth of hours of entertainment, I do agree with a lot of the frustration in this post. Having the system change out from under you and anything fun nerf'd is a bummer. Some of it is caused by bungie itself. You didn't like people shooting the faction crates to get the coins so you move them to the chest. Then reduce what we got from other events. Someone find a farm to the chest. Then you break the chest all together. Should have just left it as originally designed. So what if people farm. If they want to waste their time running around in circles let them. Rather than nerf, focus on making the other portions of the game more enjoyable that they won't want to bother farming. More rewards for public events. Way more for Heroic strikes. Epic more for Heroic raids. Etc. Every new weapon should match or best the previous weapons in some way. Else what's the point. Create NEW content to keep end game going. Not restrict or slow down exiting content. (The new faction ornaments for example were great. Caused me to grind for them). Thanks for making a fun game. As frustrating as it is at times. I still have had some great moments and memories in Destiny that no other game has given me. (If you could figure out how to recreate that first Vault of Glass raid experience again it would be amazing).
