No, I'm not going to put this year. Though 2013 didn't exactly have a lot of time with the new generation full stop.
For me, easily 2016:
Doom and Uncharted 4 are two of the best single-player titles of the generation so far: beautiful, epic adventures of mad spectacle and ...well, Uncharted bore some epic drama.
But game of the year? Overwatch. I'd call it this generation's Halo or Left 4 Dead for the many hours of multiplayer shenanigans I've enjoyed on it. Absolutely fantastic stuff.
You?

2015 had Witcher 3, Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, life is strange, etc. It was a really good year for gaming. Especially considering it wasn't plagued with microtransactions, like the only other year on this list that came close.

x Silver cRoW xにより編集済み: 1/23/2018 9:41:24 PMAs an old school gamer who started with Atari, this entire AAA gaming generation is a joke, I couldn't vote for any of those years. At least the Indie games have been good.

Swiftlockにより編集済み: 1/23/2018 9:50:51 PMForget this generation. 2002 wins by a country mile. Warcraft III, Kingdom Hearts, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Morrowind, Timesplitters 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Metroid Prime, Sly Cooper, Super Mario Sunshine, 007: Nightfire, Wind Waker... The AAA games of today's generation just aren't as endearing as the true classics.

2017 hands down. 2018 looks even better and I'm willing to bet 2019 will be the best year in gaming history.

2017 had the toughest competition for Game of the Year in recent memory. I mean, look at 2016. Overwatch as Game of the Year? That sums up 2016 for me. 2013-2015 were a wasteland How many franchises died or almost died in those years? Then we get to 2017 and this generation finally seems worth our time.

Cabooseにより編集済み: 1/24/2018 10:34:30 PM2016 for sure. Dark souls 3 DOOM Uncharted 4 Overwatch Xcom 2 Forza Horizon 3 Titanfall 2 Battlefield 1 FFXV Super hot There were also some other decent ones including: Gears of war 4 Cod iw The Division Dishonored 2 No mans sky? Rise of iron + blood and wine (I think?)

2017 was a great year for indie devs and underdog games. When you got shit like PUBG, Doki Doki, and Fortnite coming out, you can tell it’s been good. Plus we all got to spit in Activision’s, Bungie’s, and EA’s collective faces; which was pretty nice.

Definitely 2017 for me. HZD, RE7, ACO, HW2, Prey, the wipeout and crash bandicoot remasters plus all the GOTY/gold versions of the good games from 2016 and everything Nintendo’s doing. Last year was the first year this gen where I had enough good releases to keep me going all year rather than picking up stuff I was only slightly interested in from the bargain bin cos there was nothing better.

Probably 2017 for me. My faith in Nintendo was restored with Mario Odyssey and Zelda BotW, Prey, another game changing (literally) entry in Assassins Creed with Origins, Stardew Valley, etc. This year was amazing imo

2017 for me. The Switch has rejuvenated gaming for me. Prior to buying it in June, or was it July, I had only bought two games for the year and a total of 19 games on my Xbox One. I’ve bought 19 on my Switch and it’s still two months away from its first year on sale.
