All Activision is doing is holding them to their contract. Bungie is the one ruining things.

Your exactly right. Activi$ion is the publisher, bungie knew the risk. Publishers write the checks in return you have to hit your quarterly numbers, they don't care how you do it. Bungie restructured the contract from large DLC's to "drip feed" content and more mirco transactions, because it's hard. Sadly, it's all on Bungie at this point.
