Wrong. Most lootgrinders do this. If you want to pick on Diablo, maybe the perks are set but it‘s still a random roll. In The Division or Borderlands there were random perks AND random bonus percentages. So your point is invalid. Every decent lootgrinder has random rolled loot. And stop acting like weapons in D1 were crap just because they weren‘t a godroll. A Luna always is good, the godroll just makes it slightly better, that‘s all. Matador? Always good. LDR? Always good. Same with every other gun. The base stats were the same, that‘s the point. Also, stop dismissing my other point. I already stated the D1 system wasn‘t perfect. Rerolling one single perk for grindable ressources would solve that without taking the grind away completely like D2 did. THAT was bullshit.

  • I'm not picking on anything, don't know what you're getting at. Your definition of random rolls is still wrong though. A fixed perk with a rolled percentage or number, isn't a random roll. At all. A random roll would be a chance to roll anything from a pool of perks. Diablo always did random rolls for DROPS and fixed rolls with min-max rolls for specific perk(s) that are always a part of that particular drop. What we had in D1 was a cluster-blam!- of random rolls on top of random rolls, with a bunch of mediocre perks in it just to -blam!- you up. Roll any gun with those mediocre perks and your gun is trash. That isn't the way to make a sucessful looter, reason why the games you mention did well. I can't talk about borderlands since i've played about 1 hour of it and i just couldn't get into it. But even the division doesn't do what D1 did. You can still swap certain perks via npcs or mods or w/e. So if you think that D1 system is what we need, i'm sorry but i can't agree with that. A better mod system would be far better, especially considering how bungie does their random loot rolls.

  • Have you even read my post? You‘re STILL dismissing my second point. Also: A random roll is what it is: Random perks OR percentages. It‘s a roll for certain things and they‘ee random, so they‘re random rolls. Fact.

  • Slightly better you say? Matador with range perks turned it into a sniper shotgun. Sure, it already had good range, but not enough to kill you from a room away like some did. Handcannons with range perks went from average to mini snipers. You had plenty of mediocre guns in D1, that with the right perks became godly. If that's the kind of game you want, fine, that's your oppinion. I don't agree though. I don't want to go back to needing this specific roll on a gun in order for it to compete. Some argue how every gun is the same now, and yet, with random rolls, the goal was the same. Everyone wanted god rolls in order to stomp those who didn't. Everyone wanted matador with range perks, lunas with range perks + luck in the chamber or some other bullshit to 1 shot someone at ridiculous ranges. High ROF pulses and ARs with stability perks, etc. This happened because most of those guns were ok, but not good without those perks to boost that one stat they really needed. The way i see it, that's not a good loot system. Feel free to disagree.

  • I and many many others disagree. Also, for the third time: I already gave a solution. You just like to ignore it to underline your opinion.
