- Theres a lot of hate right now in the game industry as a whole for microtransactions, and Destiny is not without its faults and flaws. But please form your own opinion about the game. Dont let the current controversy sway your opinion. There are a lot of people enjoying this game every day. - [b]Try and join a clan immediately[/b]. I know, youve probably never done it beforeand always shyed away from online ganes that require a mic....like i did 4 years ago.... But trust me, this game changed my view of all games and the way i like to game because of the social nature of it. Nearly everything else is boring now as a result. - Play through the story THE ENTIRE WAY THROUGH. This will give you an idea of what to expext from continuing to play the game. If you do a couple of missions and put it down for weeks you'll probably not get it. - Understand that the story isnt really the game, and completing the story doesnt mean you've finished Destiny. The pinnacle of the game isnt the main story, its everything that comes after. - If you enjoy the story and want to learn more about the world, DO THE ADVENTURES. It says you get blue gear, but blue gear drops up to as high power level as you are. Some of the Adventures are very interesting. - Reaching max power level, or close to it, doesnt mean you're done. It means you can now participate in the raids WHICH IS THE BEST THING IN DESTINY. - For me, RAIDS ARE THE POINT OF THE GAME. To raid, you need a team and to have a team you must interact with people. Youll want to find the right people for raiding. Many get turned off by the raids because they join groups on lfg sites that have no clue what theyre doing, or that one rotten apple spoils the bunch.... Join a clan! Join my clan. Whatever. Just find some people who arr competent. Raids in Destiny are so awesome i dont want to spoil it for you. Just follow my advice. - Learn from those who know. If some one says to you, 'hey why are you using that auto scout?' Dont take offense. Maybe he knows of a better weapon. Maybe you dont have that weapon. And maybe he just gave you something to do in the game for the next week! If some one in Iron Banner tells you to max your recovery....just try it. They may just have given you that edge you didnt know you needed. I could go on, but i wilp let you figure it out for yourself. If you got this far youre on the right path.
