At this point we are already familiar with the quirkiness inherent to this weapon.
[b]-- A 360 RPM pulse rifle with an odd damage distribution, 10% 10% 80%. This means the weapon does the same damage as any other pulse rifle of the same archetype, which is not really a problem IMO.[/b]
However, it offers no real advantage while being considerably harder to use.
[b]-- Only the last bullet has recoil.[/b]
This mechanic is interesting, it may feel counter-intuitive, but I treat it as a scout rifle.
[b]-- It has a weaker version of Dragonfly.[/b]
There is no point to this perk, specially when another exotic (Sunshot) has a vastly superior version.
Now some suggestions.
I do not think this rifle needs a straight up buff, for example some other forum threads suggest that the overall damage of the 3 round burst should add up to 120% and stuff like that.
I believe exotics should feel different to regular weapons, not necessarily stronger, that is the case with the Graviton Lance. However, it feels like you need to put on too much effort for little reward at the moment.
[b]-- Change the 3 round burst to a 2 round burst with a 30% 70% damage distribution (maybe increase the last bullet damage to 80% on precision damage)[/b]
This would make the weapon less punishing when you miss the last shot. Also the 2 round burst would give Graviton Lance its own identity besides having high recoil on its last shot.
[b]-- Change Cosmology so it is the same as Sunshot's Sun Blast[/b]
I feel there is no reason to justify why this perk is so weak

I know changes are unlikely, but maybe a dev will read some of these posts and come up with a good and balanced idea. Additional suggestions: -- Cosmology should spawn a short duration Vortex Grenade effect on precision damage kills. ---- Maybe it could have an snaring (slowing) or gravitational pull effect to the explosion, increasing the size of the Vortex as its damage causes kills. You know, feeding, and in turn, increasing the size of the black hole the bullets are supposed to spawn. -- If there is a weapon that merits a HCR effect is the Graviton Lance. This gun fires bullet-sized black holes, give it some major flinch. Keep coming the feedback :]

The perk that makes things explode needs a huge buff. Is there a reason it's not on par with the explosion affect of sun shot? I love the idea behind graviton. It could have been a PvE power house. The recoil due to the last shot and the the damage being primarily in the last round seems kinda silly and hampers the weapon dramatically. Simply removing the high recoil at the end of the last shot should help this be a more viable weapon in both PvE and PvP. And buff the area damage affect to be the same as sunshot.

I think the weapon has a conflicted design and is impressive in theory but not in practice. I've used it since Xur sold it and many of its quarks give a sense that the weapon was never tested, just designed and approved on paper. I wouldn't suggest a reduction in rounds, a burst weapon with just two rounds seems a bit "eh" to me. It doesn't have the same power fantasy. Further more, I'm not sure your suggestion really gets you to a place where missing the last shot doesn't feel punishing. I'm in favor of a different damage distribution for an entirely different reason, namely wishing to increase the overall damage of the weapon as Pulse Rifles are not in a great place damage wise, but, possibly this will also resolve your issue: I'd suggest making it a staircase of damage with the first shot doing Base Damage (Henceforth abbreviated to Base), then the second shot dealing Base*3 and the third doing Base*6. Dealing slightly more damage than it currently does (Base*9). On Cosmology I'd say that I'd rather not have another carbon copy of Sun Blast, Firefly or Dragonfly(?). I'd rather see it brought in line with the central idea of the weapon which to me seems to be critical hitting all three rounds in each burst. Either keep Cosmology as is damage wise, but make it occur each time you critical hit a full burst or change it to be Seeking when it occurs. Anything would be an improvement over what it is now, I can count the times I've dealt any significant amount of damage with Cosmology on one hand.

I bought this gun as soon as it was offered . Loved the look and sound of it. Sadly it's like most of d2 - great looking but scared of been actually great. It's perk should be dark matter - consistent head shots should generate increasingly larger black holes. Like vortex explosion from vortex grenades...... Great against trash ads and good fun times for pve but hard to use and be op in crucible. Still great but not abused. Remove that artificial bounce also ffs <

Change the exotic perk so that the explosion is the size of a Nova Bomb. No one will complain about it being weak ever again.

I'm having zero problems with this weapon and feel like I can easily compete. From hip - to ADS - to getting the first burst off is really quick. I have zero issues with recoil - all bullets go in a tight burst and I never feel like I've wasted the killer shot. Not sure about the cosmology perk. I'd care if i felt that the gun needed it - but it doesn't feel like it does to me. However I'd swap that perk for something more focused on the black hole round - something like: Each black hole round that hits has a black hole effect which clouds vision (like smoke) - starting off lightly but stacking with repeated hits.

After some testing it actually does about 7 damage less per burst then other energy pulses in its archetype like the Swiftride So it is in need of a major buff

I need to get in more time with this weapon. I got it week one from Asher Mir, and used it a lot back then but haven't used it since. I like the idea of a 2 shot burst on a PR. I came up with an Exotic featuring this, it was a Hakke High Impact Frame. I don't know if GL needs these particular changes, but they are interesting to think about. I'll try it out in the EDZ flashpoint this week and think about it a little more.
