I have a few questions for you...
Where were you when I was farming planet materials for hours just to upgrade a gun or two or actually make my exotic feel like it was supposed to?
Where were you when we got nothing but shards and energy in the raid, cheesed it like crazy, and had no changes on hard mode to be seen except severely putting 29s at a large damage disadvantage and no respawns? Friendly reminder if you didn't get a piece of gear you had to wait until the next week to progress...
Where were you when Thorn reigned king as the only way an average or even good player could possibly compete in crucible for more than half a -blam!-ing year with no changes!?
Where were you when there was a "heavy ammo drought" where no one had synths since they took them off Xur very purposefully and we had to empty out our weapons entirely to glitch heavy just to shoot down the most basic designed raid boss in history (Crota) in a raid where again everyone cheesed every single section and there was a total of 1 new hard mode mechanic?
Where were you when they decided no more small expansions and that they were going to call Festival of The Lost and things that were designed to make more silver "new content funded by silver"? This lasted an entire year until RoI.
Gtfo out if you think D2 is much worse. Yeah maybe it's worse than Age of Triumph, their swan song where they brought everything in three years together. But it sure as hell isn't worse than the low points of Destiny 1 where we all continued chugging on until the next expansion anyway. They had time to learn yes but a team was building this game while D1 was still in progress. Mind you most of the changes again came from player feedback on these forums (not all but most). So stop giving shit feedback. They know the important things we want already believe me.

Elden Lord Archonにより編集済み: 11/16/2017 9:34:39 PMI agree with all of your points except...
Where were you when there was a "heavy ammo drought" where no one had synths since they took them off Xur very purposefully...
In D2, there are no heavy synths, period. I know you can allegedly get heavy from majors, but based on my experiences, that doesn’t always work. I’ve killed plenty of majors who didn’t give me shit. Man, I would kill for a heavy synth during the Calus fight.

You know what. I would take EVERYTHING that you state above over D2 in a heartbeat. D1 was about a challenge, adventure, and experience. You had to play the game and the chase was real. Sure, it wasn't always the most fun when you spent vital time in a Raid and all you got was energy or shards, but the game kept you coming back for more, time and time again. Example. When you or someone on your fireteam got a piece of unobtanium, the experience and feeling was like no other. Utter enjoyment for the lucky Guardian and hunger for that item from the rest of the fireteam. That was the case in the PvE or PvP. Just go and look back at videos of people obtaining their Gjallarhorn, Nano Phoenix, or the Lighthouse win. There was excitement and energy in almost every single event. You don't have any of that feeling or excitement like that in D2. Its gone. Weapons got better as you progressed through its rank. Now the weapons are handed to you and that's it. Same thing with armor. Nothing is special, rare or exotic. Its all handed out freely for almost nothing. If you don't get a exotic, no big deal. Xur will have it within a few weeks. D2 to me is like welfare. Everybody gets handouts. I went from playing 2-3 hours a night down to less than 8 hours a week. You could say I was a fanboy. Now I'm just a casual everyday gamer in a couple times a week game that I'm really not sure about it's future anymore.

2 通の返信You forgot Vex Mythoclast in PvP. When the mere sound of that gun made the whole other team leave the match.

1 返信Where was I? Playing the game and cursing Bungie about the weapon parts drought (Year 2), and so pissed about it that I was threatening to leave the game. Destiny 1 wasn't that good, and Destiny 2 isn't that bad.

No one is saying D1 is the greatest game ever played, but compared to D2, it may as well be. D1 weapons had fun, interesting perks, D2 is bland. D1 offered player choice, D2 does not. D1 wasn't afraid to challenge players, D2 is. D1 is G1 Transformers - cool, interesting, new, yet still lacking. D2 is GoBots - a terrible knockoff.

The only weapon that took hours to farm for were the exotic swords. The other hilarious question... Where were you when thorn reigned King? Lmfao what? I was using Hawkmoon, because, ya know, it was a great counter to thorn... Just like a few other weapons that were available.

ItsThatRayGuyにより編集済み: 11/16/2017 3:51:49 PMI was there for it all and personally found it fun. Getting only ascemdent shards ans energy from VoG made me want to do it more since I needed it to make my weapons better. The thorn era of crucible was awful, seeing it in every game just made me want to quit crucible, but I didn't since it was well, fun. Grinding planet materials sucked but at least you explored some parts of the planet to see where the best places to get said materials.

7 通の返信Still much more prefer vanilla D1 to vanilla D2, overall it was way more positive. Even the things you listed, most of that was non-issues where the D2 equivalent isn't really any different or worse.

2 通の返信Everyone is out here acting like Destiny 1 was a gift from God Wrong, Everyone complained for 3 years About Destiny 1 like Destiny 2

4 通の返信Dude I posted pretty much this same post weeks ago and listed over 100 things that where bad about d1 . It’s pointless ....... people still defend it . D2 is a dumpster fire but d1 was no better

1 返信You can't compare d1 pre ttk problems to d2. The team started d2 after ttk. So everything before it should of already been fixed I d2. But it wasn't. This is the game makers 4th years after launch of its title and they still don't know how to handle its problems. Just because its a new game doesn't mean they need to treat it differently. Everything wrong with the game is there fault for thinking they can treat this like its a new title that's never been played before. Look at titan fall 2 they took everything from the first game and added in to it. Or look at edler scrolls or borderlands They all did episodic games with different numbers and they all just added on knowledge from the last game. Not treat it like it some new confusing, testing, area that they can use to get there footing. Those problems in d1 were ok because it was new to them and new to us. But basic problems like times to kill, movement, game modifiers, activities, selection menus, perks. This all should if been stuff they know how to do by now. It's the basic parts of the game and people hate them. So yes d1 is/was far better than d2.

That’s why people are upset. Vanilla Destiny was pretty bad, but Destiny year 3 was actually really good. I think most people expected Destiny 2 to build on that or at least start from where Destiny 1 left off. Instead Destiny 2 went back 2 1/2 years and introduced a bunch of problems that were already figured out in destiny 1.

Where was I? Putting a couple thousand hours into destiny was were I was. Where am I now? Can't even bring myself to watch a destiny stream because that's how much I've begun to hate this game. I rather watch someone play Minecraft on twitch instead of destiny 2.

1 返信Was I there? Damn right I was since D1 beta and I’m gonna force the fact that this game is ass down your throat because it’s true
