I've never played it, I don't have any friends who play it. Should I get it? Is it worth investing? And will a sequel that makes it redundant release soon?

Hells yes! Every reply on here is about how its boring and PvP focused, but with many differant game modes, and a vast selection of heroes every match feels unique. Hell if your on xbox ill even play it with you.

No. Not really. It’s a PvP oriented game, which sucks since I would’ve loved a campaign. And there’s very little diversity. Most of the time players will be using meta characters and squash any noobs that play it. I should know. I tried playing it, and it -blam!-ing sucked. Its better only with friends and that’s about it.

If that type of game is good for you, YES. In all caps, YES! but it's really important that you like that type of game. I've invested near a thousand hours into that game, and love it and think the $60 is totally worth it. Not to mention blizzard is incredible at continued free support. Basically if you don't like that type of FPS as much then maybe not but if you do you'll LOVE IT.

Depends. It isn't a game for everyone. If you play on Xbox I'm sure they will have another free weekend in the coming future. I enjoy the game but more so because of how deep it can be. While some want to only play it to main a character and others want to try to recreate pro meta comps, I personally fall somewhere in between. I played to work on making the best comp and play well with many heroes. Sometimes I'd pick who I wanted as I don't always want to play tank or healer. Before I quit playing recently I made it a point to never pick one as long as I wasn't in comp, otherwise that would be all I ever played. I personally like it and believe it is better now than it was when it first released. There is more things to do and more ways to get loot boxes. It's team heavy and plays better that way. I believe at the moment it can be one of the most competitive FPS on console depending on if you have a team to play with. Soloing, doubles or even having a triple stack has too much random chance imo to make it definitively the most competitive on consoles.

i don't think there will be a sequel since they are still adding a lot of maps and heroes, its likely that they'll try to do what cs:go has done and try to keep it alive for as long as possible before releasing a sequel

Very solid FPS. If you're interested in an FPS where strategy trumps gun skill in almost every engagement and team play is crucial to success, then get it. I personally have over 600 hours in the game (a lot I know). Its just my favorite multiplayer out there atm, really fun.
