"Cute," JT said, acknowledging the pun as he looked to the watch. He did have to admit that the craftsmanship was fine and the watch did, in fact, look good, though he wasn't going to acknowledge it.
"So what'll it be? Bucks, bullets, or bïtches?"
"This one will be fifty thousand, since I custom made it and put it top of the list."
It was indeed a beautiful watch, made entirely of non-living metals, with a self-winding mechanism for its three hands. The face was carved with a man in many stages of life, from birth to elderly infirmity. And the case displayed a masterfully detailed rendering of the Buddha in humble meditation beneath a tree who's branches stretched out into a thousand armed bhoddavistra, or Buddhist Saint/god, in who's many hands was held countless people of all races, classes and cultures.
"Don't call it 'Threatening' as much as 'Getting what I already paid for."
The clocks didn't seem to phase JT in the slightest. Rather, he stood taller now, his muscle-bound frame an imposing figure with his height of six foot three. He straightened himself up to give off a more threatening feeling, which was only amplified by the electric blue eyes in his head flickering like a jolt of energy ran through them.
"Now, ask yourself: Is it worth your life to extort more money out of me, after I already paid millions?"
"Hm. You know you could have just explained that it was an advance payment and we could have skipped this nonsense."
She hands over the clock, and the rest resume ticking at one tick a second.
"Thank ya kindly," JT said as his demeanour shifted once more, becoming more of a calm, relaxed one. He took the clock and chuckled to himself, before putting it in his duster pocket.
"Yeah, I kinda want to get something simple: A pocket watch with this logo on it."
JT pulled the badge he used out of his duster pocket, sliding it across the table to the woman.
"Careful with it, a good bud of mine made it."
