Greetings, my fellow guardians! As the Faction Rally fast approaches, I have been asked by Arach Jalal to "officially" speak today on behalf of Dead Orbit Some people will tell you that all we do is wear black and write nihilistic poetry. That is simply not true! I mean, OK, a lot of our members do write nihilistic poetry, but that’s not the only thing they do. And everyone clearly loves black shaders so that’s not a problem. What is it that we do? I’m glad you asked. At Dead Orbit, we feel that limiting humanity to just the Earth makes us far too easy a target. By spreading out to the stars we can grow our once great civilization again! That may not happen today, or even this century, but by continuing to build our fleets and plan for tomorrow, we can help ensure the safety of humanity for eons to come. The War Cult’s philosophy is that war is a constant. Thanks, Lakshmi, we were able to figure that out for ourselves when we look, well, everywhere on the planet. But at least there is truth to their mission statement, simple though it may be. New Monarchy on the other hand, I think Commander Zavala summed it up best when he refused to be their King, reminding us all that we had kings in the dark age and only the bravery and sacrifice of the Iron Lords was able to save us from that failed experiment. Still, I see in some of your faces that you may be skeptical of such long-term goals, and be more interested in what membership in Dead Orbit can offer you today, when we face a new series of threats in our own backyard. Brothers and sisters, there are too many benefits to list in the short time I have, but let me give you some of the most notable: Weapons and shaders, something every guardian needs! 1) Guns? We have you covered! Two words: [b]Hung Jury[/b]. From the Crypt Dweller to the Deadshot Luna all the way through to the Keystone, [i]nobody[/i] builds scout rifles like Dead Orbit! As a reward to those members who help us to victory in the upcoming faction rally, Dead Orbit will provide the next entry into this legendary series of weapons for little more than the cost of production. You will get no better deal than this, my brothers and sisters! New Monarchy? They are offering you a sidearm. I think we can all agree that if you want a sidearm you should be getting it from the War Cult, but even [i]they[/i] are sick of sidearms at this point and are giving out pulse rifles instead. Speaking of which, I’m sure it’s a fine weapon, but they simply lack the punch needed when fighting hardened enemies like the Red Legion. 2) Shaders! In this day and age, you can never have too many good shaders. As I already mentioned, there are those who deride us for nihilism and monochromatic gear. Yet somehow everyone always ends up wearing black shaders. And who can blame them? You’ll find no better with the other factions: War Cult? I guess if you are heading to a child’s birthday party they would be an excellent choice, but not for war. As for new New Monarchy, I’m sorry, Hideo, [i]but red isn’t the new black,[/i] get over it.
