Destiny 2 Progress began well before the infinite super was found in Destiny 1.
My assumption is that some bugs got transferred over from the engine Destiny 2 started out with.
The beta is good for this sort of stuff :-)

it's been almost a year since it got patched in D1 though; there isn't really any excuse if they can't even fix the stuff they already know about, how can we trust them to learn anything at all (btw i didn't downvote you, i'm thinking it's browny who is downvoting the entire thread)
