Irrational!
FEARS
Yup, name 'em!
Hitting anything in the road, especially deer, while driving at night.
During the day I'm fine but my fear is so irrational I refuse to drive if it's dark out.
Also, I just admitted last night (for the first time in my life) that if I'm falling asleep with my hand/arm/foot half way off the bed I pull it back onto the bed before fully falling asleep. As if a monster, from under my bed, will get it.
Yeah.. I'm -blam!-ing 32 and know monsters don't exist. Not in that way, anyway. How irrational!!

1 返信That I'll never be as competent as everyone I interact with on a regular basis. Sure, I'm in college and an engineering student and have good grades, but that doesn't stop me from looking stupid at least once each day. It doesn't help that my memory has gone to crud since school let out two months ago. Now that I think of it, it might not be irrational. That's actually just it, I think, besides heights. I can be relatively calm hiking on a mountain, and later I can start to get a headache if I look over a two-story mall balcony for too long.

21 通の返信Rollercoasters. My body locks up and I can't breathe when I'm on one. My brain knows I'll be fine but I can't control my body from doing that. Nearly passed out last time.

6 通の返信I have an irrational fear of heights. Sometimes it affects me pretty badly and sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't make sense when it happens. I was at the top of the CN tower and was fine. Then I walk next to a glass railing on the second story of the mall and have to move away from the ledge. Totally irrational.

I mean imagine one in your car, on the freeway with the A.C. on with all the windows up not knowing it's in there...somehow you realize it's on your shoulder... "Sup" "!!!!!!!OMFG!!!!!!!!!" Literally the moment you look and realize it's there, IT GOES APE SHIT! I hated them before that incident. That incident only made it worse. It's all payback for when I used to terrorize their nests with super soakers and water balloons back in the day I bet.

2 通の返信I have a bad habit of overexaggerating what something could be when I find the odd little bump, sore, or bruise on myself. For some reason, maybe because I've had family members who have had it, I'm always just like HOLY SHIT I HAVE CANCER IM DYING. Only for it to be gone in a few hours or couple days lol

4 通の返信Little People. I don't know why, they terrify me. Perhaps because I'm six foot six and on the opposite side of the spectrum? When I see them I just freeze up and stare uncontrollably anticipating an attack at any second... Guess that classifies as irrational.

10 通の返信My brain is totally fried at this moment, been awake too long h not enough sleep this week to help, so I know I have a few others, but all I can think of that is irrational, is eating at other people's houses, even family. It is not the food, it is not the people, it is the plates, bowls, glasses, & silverware. For some f-ed up reason, my mind has decided that against all reason, the stupid shit is poisoned, so I can not eat unless it is take-out or I bring my own. I can eat at a restaurant with no problems, so yeah, this is stupid, I know it is stupid, makes no sense, totally irrational & irritating.

6 通の返信No, you don't [i]know[/i] that monsters don't exist. You believe they don't exist. There is some messed up shit in this world and some really unexplainable stuff. So for all we know monsters really could exist. In the forests, in the ocean, in our homes.
