They shouldn't fix their problem by restricting party size, they should invest in server size for a "10 year project" and then give us OPEN WORLD PVP along with matches. This really would have blown people away. Matchmade PVP, trials, but also hundreds of guardians battling for territory or resources near outposts, on astroids or some moon thats phased just for open world PVP.
But no, 4V4 is their fix.
Honestly with battles larger than 6, lag can easily ensue and so many issues arise from it.
And who's to say they didn't improve their "servers" we basically only saw gameplay and that's it.
Wrong, I can play ESO and do open world PVP battles with 50+ players, which has many, many more moving parts because it is in 3rd person perspective, and have no lag to unnoticeable lag.
If they improved their servers, trust me they would have made a huge deal about it with all of the complaining that goes on about it, and the connection issues. That's marketing 101 man. "Here is one of our biggest known issues....look we addressed it".
I've played eso and I spent more time looking for people than killing...the game itself is far different from destiny's since it's a sword game with 2 swing animations to firing, reloading, super animations and the works.
Eso has almost nothing in terms of animation.
I've played it and found almost nothing that was entertaining about it.
Destiny with the same concept would also have problems that eso had, server crashes, long maintenance, unfair match ups for sure (basically had to be max level to do anything)
And so forth.
I just can't see something like that working very well in destiny because...well...obviously guns.
Very few games have actually done this right and even then there are more issues than should be.
