Depends on what you are into. Here are a few of my suggestions: Miss kobiashi's dragon maid was pretty funny and i usually hate anything moe. Found myself laughing pretty hard at some of it. But again its moe so prepare for diabetes levels of cute. Toradora is my all time favorite romance/slice of life anime. Wolf's Rain is pretty solid. A good classic if a little slow. Overlord is a good goofy action anime also fantastic intro. Death Parade is a masterpiece imo. Animation is great, story is interesting and characters are compelling but for this one people either hate it or love it. I could easily see it adapted into a movie. Angel Beats will make you cry. And if you don't you have no heart. Its just a black void lol. Shimoneta is probably the only ecchy that i would recommend as i tend to hate the overly sexual borderline porn stuff. But this was absolutely hilarious in all the best ways. Be prepared it is still overly sexual to the extreme. Another is a good horror anime, but probably not the "scariest". Its mostly gore themed. Soul Eater has a weird art style but is a solid action, fantasy, Halloween themed anime. So yeah there are a few suggestions. There are so many out there though. I would suggest you figure out the genre you are into and then search animes before diving into other genres that may not be your cup of tea.
