Have grenades gotten too powerful?
Has anything changed in regards to grenades in the past few weeks? I recently came back to Destiny, and my god it's like every grenade in the game one-shots you now. Most noticeable is the Bladedancer, whose grenades used to do very little damage if any. Were grenades buffed at any point? Or has everything else been nerfed to the point where grenades simply feel more powerful?

It's that literally every single weapon type, apart from side arms, has been nerfed into the ground since launch. Where as most other grenades have remained untouched since launch (fire/arc bolts have both been nerfed into obscurity of course). And when the grenades were designed they were obviously designed around a relatively quick and consistent time to kill that destiny had in year one. This is why Farcog (the sweat tournament organisation) has banned discipline above tier 3, to promote gunplay. It shocks me that a third party organisation like farcog has to exist to make rules like these as bungie has made such an awful game that they clearly have either no idea or no intention how to balance.

1 返信They have and they haven't. It's addition by subtraction. This is what happens when Primaries get nerfed into the ground. It's all about abilities now. Ever notice how at the start of every map it's nothing but 10 seconds of nades???? Primaries aren't the primary weapon anymore. Haven't been since TTK landed.

Yes Spikes, stickies, voidwall, lightning, axioms are all very annoying to me and play far too large of a role in this game, especially as this game is much slower now than it was in y1 (not a bad thing, it just seems these grenades don't quite fit in)

I would bet money that a post like this is where it all started. Grenades have not gotten more powerful. Like all the weapons that have been butchered before them, it's the guardians ability to use them better that has got more powerful... Bunnie just can't keep up with us nerfing it all 😉
