Edit... Bungie has already said not more vault space. This make the VAST majority of this irrelevant at this point... read post and complain at your OWN PERIL
You've been warning... if you get set off it's your fault.
P.S.
They haven't said anything about additional kiosks
So for those still hoping for more space... maybe we'll see more of that.
Okay, so with the new DLC, they've promised that ALL the raids will have returning and new goods and be light appropriate. We've seen Fate Bringer and the Myth returning and new Vex souped up armor so I'm going to say that ALL raids will have some version of this mechanic of altered and/or buffed weapon and armor sets... including WotM. I really hope VoG, Crota, and KF bring some good side arm goodies And I'd love to see swords inspired by each of the raids as well.
SO on top of all the returning buffed up, and possibly new weapons and armor from the raids, we also saw on the stream that there are achievements for unlocking all exotics... both weapons and armor as well.
So the raids have stuff we can use again, and you have rewards geared toward my hoarding needs in the record book but you won't let me hold it all???
So lets look at this from a #'s perspective...
Excluding Artifacts and HM variances this is how this breaks down.
VOG Crota KF WotM Exotics
Primary 4 4 4 4 24
Secondary 3 3 3 4 15
Heavy 2 2 2 2 13
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
9 9 9 10 52 = 89 weapons (with only 108 slots in vault)
That includes all year 2-3 carried over an year 1's that didn't w/o duplicating
Armor is Worse
VOG Crota KF KFHM WoTM WotMHM
Head 3 3 3 3 3 3
Chest 3 3 3 3 3 3
Arms 3 3 3 3 3 3
Legs 3 3 3 3 3 3
Class 3 3 3 3 3 3
Artifact 3 3 3 3
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
15 15 18 18 18 18 = 102 pieces of total raid armor gear, 90 pcs w/o artifacts, 60 if you only count one set per per raid regardless of normal or HM and still exclude Atrifacts.
Then we have another 63 exotic pieces of armor for 123 pcs of armor. (AGAIN ONLY 108 SLOTS???)
Add the HM back in and that's 155 pcs of armor, 167 including Artifacts from Reg and HM.
THAT IS LITERALLY OVER 1.5 times the vault space right there.
That STILL doesn't factor in armor w/ random stats and trying to find sets for specific builds... That's just assuming you keep one of each regardless of how they match your set-up for play style.
This also doesn't include all the Iron Banner or Trials weapons or armor sets or anything from factions like Vanguard, Crux, DO, NM, or FWC, Prison or Queens. Which all have their own armor and weapon sets (AND HAVE Multiple versions performance and cosmetically).
The Stream said the raid drops were very generous at least in the current beta, but does that do us anygood if we have no place to put it w/o throwing out something else we want to keep also? I've had to work darn hard to collect sets of stuff with the right percs only to have to throw out entire sets to make room for new stuff and we're about to be forced into this diabolical regret amchine again....
We'd need a minimum of 5 times the amount of total storage as we currently have across all three characters, the postmaster and the vault.
Bungie... Please understand that if there was EVER a time to be a collector in Destiny then that time starts March 28... and that means it likewise is the perfect time to open the vault doors wide open. Please help us who actively like to hunt and collect all this gear to be able to KEEP if for a change.

145 通の返信Dynamo Ultimaにより編集済み: 3/10/2017 11:40:14 AMDelving into "This week at Bungie" was, for the first time in a long time, an actual heart-wrenching experience. The words I read hit me like a truck. As an avid vault space expansion advocate, scrolling down to see, final conformation, we are not getting more vault space, felt like a swift jab to the stomach. Call me a hoarder. I don't care. I like my weapons. The common. The uncommon. The rare. It doesn't matter to me what color they are, if they hold some amount of significance, (which they did) I want to keep them. That Jigoku SR3 scout rifle? My first uncommon weapon. It marks a timeline in Destiny where I had just remembered for the first time since the beta, why I liked this game; why I had stayed up so late repetitively engaging in the beta activities. The Acheron SR5? My first rare. I had never been so ecstatic to have picked up a piece of loot since my first daedric weapon in Skyrim. That beautiful sapphire paint job, the addition of more perks and damage upgrade nodes... it was an amazing feeling. But the greatest feeling, was pulling my first legendary, Another NITC from a rare drop early on in my adventure. Nothing compares to the suspense and disbelief. The perks. The scopes. The power. I couldn't wait to hit level 20 so I could finally equip it and demolish my enemies. This was the weapon I challenged a heroic story mission Draxis with. Underleveled, I fought on in frustration and grueling defeat for hours to clear that throne room. When my only other friend who played Destiny volunteered to walk me through my first Vault of Glass run, this was the weapon I held at my side. My memories and achievements are burned into that gun, and when I wield it, those moments come flooding back. Data to some. Meaningless virtual possessions to others. But to me, a friend. These aren't just weapons. They're memories. They're a record. Bungie talks about wanting to honor our legacy, but only by giving us pretty emblems. My legacy, is only as good as the loot I've earned. My legacy, IS the loot that I've earned. Let me tell you. This hurts. I don't care what it is to you. I don't care if, to you, what's in your vault means jack-diddly-squat. Whether you care or not, is none of my concern. What is my concern, is those who do care. Me. My close friends, who I've met and grown close to through Destiny. I care about them. I care about the people who are like me. Who don't want to abandon memories. The people like me, who no matter what, refuse to dismantle their legacy; their legend. This is a low blow, and now, more than ever, will Destiny become a sorrowful experience for me. I have been forced to abandon my Hunter and Titan, for vault space, (they have essentially become, for all intents and purposes, my extra vault space) and as much as it feels me with grief, I will have to further dismantle their armors and armaments. After hearing today's news, it's what must be done if I am to continue my Destiny journey. All that remains is my Warlock. At least I can preserve that part of my legacy. For whatever it's worth. And for those of you who would argue that "it doesn't matter" because we won't be taking any of it to Destiny 2, I'd like to say this: Destiny 1 isn't going anywhere. It won't be erased, the servers won't be shut down, and the content will remain where it is. When Destiny 2 launches, I will no doubt immerse myself completely in that game. But eventually, the strong scents of nostalgia will call me back my original proving grounds; to the beginning. And when I return, I would love nothing more than to fire off every single weapon in my collection, while wearing armor I tore from the dead gods I slew. But I can't do that if heavy restrictions are placed on my collecting. I can't do that if vault space isn't increased.

1 返信You forget that each gauntlet has a reloaders option for Primary, Secondary, and I could have sworn I have seen 1 Heavy. Then you have chests and legs with additional ammo for each type of weapon, and additional opts of each for each subclass. Plus I have some that are elemental damage resistance ce, and elemental improvements. Far too many armor options available for those trying to keep up with Bungie's Nerf fest!

1 返信I wanted more vault space, and got a lot of salt from people with IQ's of potatoes and forum psychologists calling me a hoarder, and one who linked my post and inadvertently kept me trending a while...but with nothing carrying over and new gear coming I am cutting down and deleting things I wont use. Hopefully D2 will not make anything obsolete, and have enough space, but who knows. If you want the new gear, delete the old gear. That, or play the update and then move on to D2, D1 will still be active to go back to

Almost read the post, until I realized that in three months, when that D2 trailer drops, I'm not going to care about vault space in D1. The same thing happened to me when I went from Halo Reach to D1. I hit Inheritor and got that cool ass Haunted helmet. I was so damn excited when I got those things, but now, I don't think about it that much. I'll say, "I'm glad I got those things" and leave it at that.

1 返信Honestly I don't get why they just don't have a kiosk. They've shown they can do it. I know it'd be tricky with differently rolled gear but it doesn't seem like a taxing problem.

4 通の返信Stop becoming emotionally attached to video game pretend weapons and ditch all things that you don't actually use. Exotics especially since you can just go pick it up from the tower whenever you want. I never understood hoarding guns tbh. I have a solid 15-20 guns I'll use depending on situation and mood and yes that includes heavies and secondaries. I've been playing this game since day one xbone/psn and by now I know what I like and what I don't. Why should they alter the game further because you just can't let things go?
-
1 返信Bungie it's time for no more time, please ignore us, although we have 1 amendment rights to speak, you have rights to even listen and do something, but in the end we all know for 3 years they only listen to nerf requests
-
3 通の返信I can't actually fill my vault up, never been close. Do you keep duplicates of year 1 stuff for nostalgia despite dropping year 2/3 versions?? I think I've got everything I use on my characters, and old raid and IB stuff in the vault. I always avoid duplicates though. Best stats or rolls get kept, old ones get dismantled.
-
2 通の返信Love all the posts calling people who collect stuff hoarders. I didn't know other people decided what was valuable to me. They should burn every picture they own because those pictures mean absolutely nothing to me.
-
1 返信You did all that math, but aren't going to account for the 90 weapons, 150 armor, 30 ghosts, and 30 artifacts that you can store on characters? You left more storage out than you listed. Don't get me wrong, I have a full vault and full characters so of course i think they should add 1 page to each vault section. But you make it sound much worse than it is.

Destiny is a game where you have to think carefully and choose what kind of gear you want to keep. Much like other RPG type games, you have limited space, so you have to decide exactly what gear you want to hold on to, and what gear is worth letting go. That's the way the game is made, and because of that, you'll just have to sacrifice some old gear that's not as useful.

13 通の返信Why does it bother people if others ask for more vault space? It wont affect you in any way, but it will help others.
-
Maybe it's time for some of the players to "open the vault doors" and empty out all the shit they've been hoarding If they are just reminders of all the grind, then make a montage video of yourself (maybe on Felwinter Peak or somewhere) dancing and posing in each of the armour sets then delete them Not only will you have free vault space afterwards, but you could get a shot at MotW

15 通の返信I don't know why this is still being fought over they've said countless times that the vault space we got is all we got till D2. And again it was said recently that no we ain't getting more and still after that there's bitching about it like y'all can actually do something by complaining? Here's some advice don't keep everything.

Saw they confirmed it: no increase in vault space. I recommend taking a break from destiny. I love the game, hell, i like the forums too but if they make schedule then the sequel will be out in 9 months or so. I know that it's speculative and the sites claiming that could be wrong. I can 100% recommend Horizon. Certainly won't be able to play it like destiny but damn, it IS as good as the reviews say. Mass Effect coming out soon too. *the strange thing about vault space is that no matter how miserly and flat out cheap bungie is, it couldn't be about money. Upgrading the storage on their servers( aka vault) would hardly consume thousands of terabytes. Not even hundreds. Idk, maybe they are THAT cheap? Or it was designed so poorly in the beginning..... no clue
