I'm a destiny fan boy too. But my point is I already play VoG for fun. So at least give me a emblem that carries over for doing it

They mentioned that those of us who've played since day 1 will have something to show for it in D2. Though I haven't heard anything as to what yet. An emblem seems likely, or maybe a shader would be cool.

Wondering what(if anything) they'll do for people who played from day 1 but changed Consoles halfway through 😬

Well they mentioned they've been "watching" all of us since we started playing... so even if you switched consoles I would hope that they could see your start date and reward you even so. I don't care about being the best PvE player or the best PvP player... but I want something that says "I've been here from the start and you'll never achieve what I have because you weren't" A little douchy sure... but I suppose it's the destiny hipster in all of us.
