Every time a patch comes out players blame it for connection issues. While this patch is not perfect (ie. Bladedancer mods affecting weapons/other classes) it is always a few who say they have problems. If it was a problem with the patch a lot more players would be complaining. Bungie post Help Guides covering any problem you encounter and found using Google or the search option on B.Net. The short of it is to do a hard re-set of your system (press and hold the power button until your system shuts down, then leave it without power for 5 min then boot up). If that does not work it is time to take a look into your internet (your system is equipped to do this) looking for problems such as NAT, data loss and latency. Some of these are also sorted by just unplugging your router and letting it cool for a bit (this is recommend by most providers to be done on a regular basis). Other things that can cause problems is wifi (a no no for Destiny), local provider problems and XBL/PSN (XBL did have problems just hours after the last patch). So start at the beginning at your end then work through your connection step at a time.

I know the -blam!-ing difference between a laggy game and a good crisp connection, you call me a liar and it's my Internet connection, do you not think I would have checked things on my end first before coming to this cesspool of a forum to log a complaint that goes unheard. Maybe the "host" in the p2p client network is compromised, maybe destiny is picking the player with the worst connection to host, I don't know but my fibre optic internet 120mb hardwired 2 month old router is 100% not the problem.
