Get ready for the "Nerf Ice Breaker/Invective/Sidearms" posts
Because that is all everyone will use for specials in PvP after the totally unnecessary special ammo nerf.
Bungie is digging their own grave. D2 will be a well-deserved flop if they continue down this road.
Edit: Since a few people seem to think I am whining about this, know that I barely play Crucible and when I do, I use primaries and sidearms. I am simply stating the proven fact that when Bungie nerfs something, something else replaces the nerfed guns as the new meta, and then the community will start complaining about [i]that[/i].

They're fine. Just don't allow active radar with them. Knucklehead and memory of gheleon shouldn't work with primary snipers or shotguns. Edit: just to clarify , I only mean the ADS active radar with these weapons.

2 通の返信I just think it's quite saddening a weapon like no land beyond is likely going to be nerfed. Like really? Of all the weapons to be nerfed it falls on that weapon. And why? Not because of special ammo, but because using a sniper is literally asking how good you are at quick scoping. People use the no land because you can take a few shots and still dome a kid.

You can hear the next wave of whining getting ready. Next it will be "Invective is OP now..", "Sidearms everywhere now, nerf em", and the ever popular "....Waaaaaahhhhh......this meta sucks....I can't compete". It's inevitable. Makes no difference to me. I'll adjust to the new meta, just like I did to that last several one's. I'll adopt the new meta weapons and hear the same old garbage from the Whiner Battalion, "...you are using crutch weapons....waaaaaaahhh."

2 通の返信Regenerating special ammo shouldn't happen in PvP. Ice Breaker during the Crota raid was great with regenerating ammo but in PvP it makes the special ammo nerf pointless. Just as we will have Ice Breaker replace 1k stare for snipers, so will Invective replace matador for shottie players. I'm also guessing that we will start to see a lot more NLB and Universal Remote kills. Ammo isn't the problem as much as the Aim Assist, Accuracy and Jug nerfs. This patch should differentiate the good players from the crutch players. The sign of a good shottie/sniper player is that when they switch to a primary they still melt you.

If we have gotten to the point to where people complain about a sidearm Destiny is doomed. Not because of the devs, but because of the community. Side note, this would never have happened if people didn't rely on their special ammo. Blame the devs all you want. This is the communities problem. [b]edit[/b] Wow. Already side arm complaints. Specifically the amount of people that will be using them. Jesus..... if you're threatened by a side arm, maybe fps aren't the types of games you should be playing.

3 通の返信My thoughts on this more or less amount to: 1) The actual ammo nerf is a ridiculous way to deal with Destiny's permanent special weapons issue. They should have buffed primary damage a small amount across the board, whilst making minor nerfs to abilities that allow players to close distance too easily/without risk (the Juggernaut nerf was probably a good thing, but tbh I feel like all that they needed to do was reduce the shield strength in pvp at least, leave as is for pve) 2) As cool an idea as it may have seemed at the time (pre-vanilla launch), weapons that regenerate ammo (which is supposed to be quite limited) in pvp are fundamentally stupid and gamebreaking. This is highlighted every time Bungie do a special ammo nerf My hopes for Destiny 2 in this area are that there are no special weapons that start with/regenerate ammo in pvp, movement abilities are MUCH better balanced before it even releases, and primaries do enough damage to reasonably shut down a shotgunner bee-lining for you across an open field that would die 9/10 times in any other modern competitive FPS.

I think nlb and universal remote will be used more than invective. It's recharge time is very slow. And when you die you lose whatever ammo you had. You can wait for the special box but you will be a target sitting there. It's going to be funny taking on a matador with no ammo with universal remote, the only shotgun that won't lose ammo when you die.

1 返信Ice Breaker- Takes forever (in terms of crucible) to get even 1 ammo due to nerfs. Basically by the time you get a round for you probably could have died several times over. Invective- Very short range and with shotgun nerfs will be even worse for wear. With the changes to autos and hand cannons will even easier to combat. Sidearms- Can be combated even now at short ranges with scout rifles and again with the changes to autos and hand cannons it will make it even harder to be somewhat competent. The sad thing is people will actually camp and wait at special boxes still, slowing the match to a crawl instead of actually going out and getting kills and then whine about how slow matches have become. That being said, if they implemented these changes I see no reason why shotguns really needed another nerf since they won't be that big of an issue.

I already only use sidearms. I think it is very sad that it took an ammo change for people to even consider them. Even then, they aren’t using them to use them. They will be using them because they just seem to be 100% allergic to their primary. I stopped PVPing along time ago so I am "meh" on this. But it hurts me to see sidearms be treated so badly. Now, folks will use Ammo Regens & Sidearms, folks will cry bloody murder, thencsome change will happen and now my sidearm will be less reliable in PVE. (Yeah I use em in PVE.) My morale tanks when i think of this.

it only takes one minute for ammo to reload. so depending on when you die you can pretty much got to an ammo cache and special will be waiting; theres three in every map, the enemy wont be at all three them, so Run Guardian! or just use a primary 🤓🤓😇

1 返信Sidearm meta will be fine just like the original auto rifle meta was. Side arms will reward players with good aim who hit more headshots consistently than others just like the first auto meta did. Those who can aim will win the gun fights. Those who can't will call for nerfs. One thing we can all finally agree on now. No more nerfs. Destiny really can't take any more nerfs.

3 通の返信The only solution is to use a damn primary THOSE ARE A THING LITERALLY THE FIRST THING YOU PICKED UP IN THE GAME. USE IT ITS THERE FOR A REASON TO USE IT PRIMARILY PRIMARY PRIMARIES USE THEM
